Chapter 86 - Kerrin

"You can stop hiding behind that door, John. We could hear footsteps above us and there's no reason for someone to be here. That is unless they were looking for us." The voice was Ren's.

The door suddenly opened up and I was pulled over to them. Last time I felt this power it was when I fought the masked man. I'm guessing he had the power to push and pull things. I ended up being right in front of them being lowered so they could look down own me. Ren didn't seem to like it though with the face he was giving.

"You know, boss. You didn't have to make it so we look down on him. We might be stronger than him but it was the same with Crimson and look what happened." Ren seemed to be annoyed with the person he called boss.

"Stop calling me that. You know my name is Kerrin." The masked man finally revealed his name.

I jumped back and unsheathed Genki. There's not a doubt in my mind that Alice and the others didn't here the large crashing noise the door made so I'm sure they're coming down right now. All I have to do is hold them off until they get here.

I waited for them to attack me but they both seemed to be in a conversation. I stood there awkwardly as they talked. I felt like this battle was so supposed to be a lot more serious but they're just messing around.

"Whatever, let's just defeat these people so we can give the diamond to the boss." Ren said.

So there was another person behind all this. But now I was confused on why he called Kerrin boss. I shrugged it off and took a step towards them. Both stopped focusing on each other and turned towards me. Their stare caused me to stop moving out of sheer fear.

"Before we deliver the diamond I want to have another round with the kid. Hopefully he got stronger since the time we last met." Kerrin said.

Before I could do anything, Kerrin somehow got behind me and pushed me forward. I turned around to face him but he was gone. Every time I fought someone stronger than me they always seemed to vanish. I was getting tired of the same old trick.

Right as Kerrin appeared next to me, I turned to face him and blocked his punch. He seemed surprised at first when I blocked him but that was soon replaced with a smile. Instead of vanishing, Kerrin went in for another punch but I blocked it again.

Kerrin jumped away from me and lifted his arm. He had it aiming right towards me. I began to run in an attempt to avoid his attack but failed and got thrown against the wall. I fell on the ground after slamming against the wall and stayed crouched down.

"Talk about a strong power. It's a good thing Ren is staying out of this or I'd be toast."
