Chapter 83 - Family

"I, uhh, me and that guy over there are acquaintances. I've never met his entire guild before and I'd rather not seem like some weirdo that he knows." I said.

Leon gave me a funny look before shrugging and looking more into the menu. I did the same and looked to see what they were offering. Nothing really caught my eye so I set it down. I glanced at Leon to see if he found anything but saw that he had a worried look on his face.

"Um, all the food here is really expensive. Are you sure you can pay for something like this?" Leon asked, showing me what he wanted and expensive it was.

How did I not notice the prices of the food here. I took the menu out of Leon's hands and set it down. As we sat there doing nothing I could feel Ashe's group staring at me.

Thankfully a waiter showed up before anything got awkward and asked us if we were ready to order.

"Yeah about that, we just want to pay and leave now. I didn't know that the place I was entering was going to be this expensive." I said.

"Well in that case, since you just ordered a water that'll be two hundred velp plus another two hundred for the kids." The waiter said.

I let out a groan before taking out my velp pouch and setting down four hundred velp. The waiter took it all and gave us a smile. I quietly cried to myself about how much I spent there and walked out of the building.

"Well that sucks. Anyway, let's continue looking for your parents." I said, putting Leon back on my back.

We continued looking around the city and took another break at a park. I went to sit down but could feel Leon tug me. I looked up at him to see what was wrong and saw that he was pointing at something.

"That's them over there!" Leon yelled.

I hoped he was right and began moving over to where he was pointing as fast as possible. I pushed through the crowd of people and finally made it to where Leon was pointing to. Alice was standing there talking to two adults who seemed really worried. The two adults noticed me and the person I was carrying. Alice turned around to see what they were looking at and saw me.

"Are those your parents, Leon?" I asked.

Leon nodded his head and hopped off me. He ran over to the two adults and jumped into their arms. I couldn't help but feel happy at the families little reunion. Alice walked next to me and nudged me with her elbow. I looked at her to see what she wanted and saw that she was staring at the family.

"I'm surprised to find out you were the one who was helping the kid. Pretty convenient if you ask me." Alice said.

"Tell me about it. Anyway, I'm going to continue trying to gather information. Later!"
