I watched as Alice walked around the store looking for items she might want to buy. Serene was next to me and was flipping a coin. As Alice walked through the row of items she came an abrupt stop and walked back. She pulled a book out of the shelf and blew off the dust that was on it.
"It's a book that teaches you magic. All the magic here is a little more complex than just setting your sword on fire but they'll be a lot more useful." Alice said, walking over to us.
Alice put the book in my hands before walking away and continuing her search for more items. Serene stopped flipping her coin and turned her attention to the book.
I offered Serene the book which she gladly accepted and held it. I let out a small sigh before walking towards the shelves and seeing if they had something I might like.
After a couple minutes of walking I let out a sigh and walked back over to Serene. Alice seemed to have finally finished and walked over to Serene to grab the book from her. She dropped the items she wanted to buy on the counter and bought them. The man working the counter put the velp Alice gave him away and gave her a smile.
Once we left the shop we began walking around the town trying to find some place to eat. As we walked around I got a weird feeling that we were being watched. I quickly turned around but didn't see anyone.
I looked towards Alice and Serene to see if they noticed anything but they were to busy talking to each other. I kept my eyes open as we walked for anyone who might be acting suspicious.
After a couple of minutes walking around we had finally made it to a café. When we go inside I saw Daz talking to someone. We both seemed to notice each other and he waved me over.
"It's been awhile John. I didn't expect to see you here on the second floor. What brings you up here?" Daz asked me.
"I'm trying to find someone. All I know is that they're on the second floor and that her parents our powerful." I said.
Before Daz could say anything someone came through the door. I turned around to see who it was and saw Ashe standing there. 'Was the person I felt following me him?' I thought to myself.
"I finally caught up to you! I've been trying to get your attention for the past couple of minutes but I couldn't get you to notice me!" Ashe said, trying to catch his breath.
Alice cleared her throat causing me to turn towards her. She was pointing at the menu waiting for me to choose something. I walked over to Alice and just picked a sandwich.
When we got our food we sat next to Daz and began talking to each other. Ashe ordered something for himself and sat down next to us.
