Once again, Mastace has managed to shake Briggan's world down to its very foundation. It seemed that almost every time they met up, there was something that challenged the way he has thought for as long as he could remember. Something was always stirring his pot and he did not like it. It made him very uncomfortable. Yet, there was something about Mastace's presence that made it difficult to turn him away.
Briggan managed to stand up on his own this time, and when he did, Mastace suddenly looked like he was in a great deal of discomfort. His face went red fast, and he looked in just about any direction but the one Briggan was standing in. Briggan was super confused as to why he seemed so embarrassed at first, but then he looked down and figured the reason out real quick.
"Umm... You mind giving me a few more minutes of privacy?" Briggan asked curtly. He was suddenly glad that he still had his towel on, or else this would have killed him.
Mastace's ears flattened against his head and the redness of his face deepened. "I ... I ... No problem." he stammered but managed to get out the words. He rushed out of the doorway and shut the door in a rush. Briggan scowled as soon as he was the only one left in the room. That was weird...
Mastace hurried down the hall so that Briggan wouldn't hear the borderline panic attack that he was having. What the fuck just happened, and why did I freak out so much? Why am I freaking out right now? Mastace's mind reeled with overwhelming confusion. He felt hyperventilation kicking in, as well as a sense of claustrophobia. He made a somewhat controlled dash for the front door. He had to get out of the house, even if it was just past the threshold of the door. Please don't blackout, please don't blackout... was all Mastace could think while he made a hit-or-miss attempt to relieve the sudden overload of stress.
Mastace was extremely light-headed by the time he reached the door. He extended his arm to use the doorknob. He took a moment to notice just how far he was in this panic attack. His body was racked with a ton of adrenaline and his extremities were very shaky, just like Briggan was only minutes ago. Oh, how the tables have turned. Mastace opened the door and stumbled his way outdoors, ignoring the impulse to close it as he exited. He gasped for air as if he'd been held underwater. He allowed fatigue to set in and his body doubled over and collapsed where he stood. Mastace rolled over onto his back and began attempting to assert control over his breathing so that he can calm himself down to a more suitable temperament.
