One day ago,
"This…" Sen was visibly surprised because he knows this person lying unconscious in this room.
This person had exactly the same aura the one in the cage that the prince brought with him had, and now he can finally see their real appearance, it was a woman, from human standards, she looks to be approaching her thirties, and pale as snow with fair skin. Her eyes were closed shut and her body twitched in pain. She looked to be the same height as Leonas.
Although Sen hadn't really put much thought about the other sex since coming here, he had to say that this woman was really fine-looking, not the best he's seen but she is a beauty in her own rights.
Sen bent over and touched her dark silver hair, pulling a strand behind her ears. Now it was clear to him that she was not a human, for her aura, her pale skin, and now her elf-like pointed ears.
"She is a demon," he heard Risa say from behind him.
"A demon huh?" he actually had demon blood running through his veins right now. It's just that the demons from LR were a bit different from this one. Only high demons who managed to get past their last evolution were able to take on a beautiful humanoid form like this, and he had only met a handful of them, while the rest had an animal or other bestial forms.
"Ha!"
The demon opened her eyes all of a sudden, those beautiful golden eyes were now stained with vigilance and exhaustion. She was awake but had no strength to do anything.
"She woke up!" Leonas announced. "She's been dormant ever since we found her, if not for her occasionally twitching her fingers, we would've thought she was dead"
In fact, Sen wanted to send some fused energy which is in the lightning form to wake her up but remembered what happened when he was out cold.
While he was unconscious, Sen was actually stuck within his energy sea that has now become a world of thunder. He discovered one thing that made him very disappointed, aside from being able to channel this fused energy to use his arts, he felt that he cannot unlock its full potential. It's like an untamed beast sealed within his body and refusing to cooperate.
So far, the only function he has for the fused energy is a power source for the arts.
The demon looked straight at Sen before going into another slumber,
Sen was now at a loss, he wanted to help her, but did not know how to that if she was unresponsive.
"Let's examine her first" with the enhanced senses activated, which he discovered to have become much stronger after the merger, he found an anomaly within her body.
"Do demons have hearts?" he asked but the two behind him knew nothing of it.
This demon female here actually has a big hollow area where her heart was supposed to be.
So far, they have learned about demons only in books and never met any until now.
"I guess there's nothing we can do…" Sen stood up but an ice-cold hand weakly grabbed his pants.
"Zillah…mother…mother is sorry"
A weak voice escaped the pale silver-haired demon.
He had decided to give up on the woman since there was really nothing he could do about it. But she just has to call out weakly to her child and say something like that, making Sen's human heart swoon her way.
However, he really had nothing he can do to help her.
"Is there really nothing to do?" Leonas asked.
"Those potions, how about you give her some?" Risa suggested.
"I doubt they'll work," Sen said but still poured one in her mouth while rubbing her throat up and down to help her swallow.
As expected it wasn't much help. Healing potions were meant to heal injurers and stop the bleeding, but this woman had neither…she had no heart. Which made Sen Wonder how could she have survived till now.
Wait, heart? Demon heart?
Suddenly a thought came to him. He closed his eyes, and searched his inventory, fidgeting for a bit in his mind, he finally found what he needed.
Back in LR after the striking majority of players left, Sen attempted something never been done before, taking on a dungeon solo.
The dungeon was level 300 that was almost impossible to conquer even with twenty members, but Sen managed to do it by himself.
Grot's Sea of tears!
The lore of this particular dungeon boss was quite sad. Grot was not supposed to exist at first. His father, a passionate scientist had once mistakenly poured the wrong ingredient while concocting a rare potion that caused an explosion, inadvertently gave life to a certain creature he calls Grot. Grot was a demon, but the lonely scientist raised grot the same as his son for years. One day when grot was all grown up, he swallowed a dragon egg his father had brought back from one of his travels back in the day.
Grot turned maniac and all reason he had was gone, he smashed the house and rampaged through the nearby village. When his father tried to stop him, he killed him.
Grot regained his senses and saw what he's done. He was shattered and broken-hearted over killing his own father. Filled with anguish, grot retreated to a faraway mountain, he cried all year round. His tears drowned all the nearby earth in the end it created a sea of tears.
Years passed by and people from all over the Last Realm sailed the sea of tears to kill Grot and get the dragon egg from him. But the dragon egg was already a part of him and there was no taking it away.
Yet, none have ever managed even to kill him, even Grot himself. The dragon power prevented him from killing himself. Demon blood and dragon blood merged and created a nightmare demon that no one ever succeeded in defeating.
Grot did not actively attack towns and over the years, the stories made by those who attacked him and lived to tell the tale were stretching the truth far away.
When Sen finished the quest and killed grot. Grot was extremely grateful to Sen for helping him end his life, so with his dying breath, he gave him a vial of his pure tears as well as grot's heart.
Now, Grot's heart was in his hands. The pressure it emitted made Leonas and Risa take a step back. While the demon opened her eyes wide open. Something about the beating organ in the hands of the creature who she assumed to be a high demon, made her feel a strong attraction she couldn't help but reach out to touch. That move took a lot of effort but she managed to do it in the end.
Yet, the moment she touched it, she saw a sea of murky water, a lone mountain stood right in the middle with a creature standing on top of it, tears streamed from its eyes as it howled towards the sky.
The vision ended as she retracted her hands in fright.
Sen saw how just the taking out of the heart was enough to give the demon strength and he was encouraged. "This thing is quite precious to me"
"pl-please" she muttered softly.
"How about this, I'll give it to you and you give yourself to me"
Not only the woman was shocked, but Leona and Risa were also startled, they thought they had gotten a good impression of Sen, but now he…he was forcing a woman to give herself to him, what was different between that and what the humans did? Even In his human form, he was a relatively handsome person and some women could be interested in him. Was there a need to be this forceful?
Sen sensed their swirling thought and frowned, "just what are you thinking about? I just want her to work for me. This thing is quite precious and giving it to her without any benefit is unrealistic don't you think?"
"Oh!" the two felt embarrassed at their thought and quickly scratched their heads. Sen ignored them and looked at the demon woman.
"All I want is an ally, you shall stay by my side for…two years, and help me accomplish the things I find troublesome like defeating someone stronger than me…I shall never ask you to do anything you are not comfortable with. Besides, I heard you called someone in your daze, Zillah was it? Is he your son?"
"D…daughter" she weakly replied, eyes full of fear when thinking about her child.
"She is in some kind of trouble right?"
She shook her head, "dead…because of me"
This time even Sen was silent. He did not know what to say at the moment. He shamelessly thought of using helping her child in exchange for her loyalty, but now…
"I'm sorry" he managed to say.
"I'll give you my all," she said, "but it isn't survival I want, it is vengeance. Help me get that, and my all is yours," she said in one breath.
Sen was silent again, he really did not want to interfere in complicated affairs, not even those of humans, much less demons. But isn't this exactly what he craved back at earth? An adventure?
Although hesitant, he agreed to her request.
"How do we do this?" he held the heart and asked the woman, but she had already passed out again. That short conversation must've taken a toll on her body leaving Sen with having to improvise.
Risa and Leona watched in horror as Sen ripped the woman ragged shirt, exposing her pale chest. A red-faced Risa immediately covered the eyes of a purple-faced Leonas before dragging him out of the room. But it was obviously too late as Leonas almost had a nose bleed from the sight.
Another red-faced person was Sen, who gave himself a pass before realizing in horror that he really had no sexual drive towards this woman.
'It can't be that Fanalis do not get sexually aroused right? The thought horrified him, although he wasn't interested in a relationship at the moment, he was still a man through and through. What man wouldn't want his thing to not work?
Sen suppressed the terrible thought and focused on the task at hand.
One of his nails enlarged into a sharp deadly nail which he used to make a deep five inches long cut right in the middle of her chest. After that came stretching the wound with both hand and ripping the layer of tissue he found.
Sen Right now was operating following the surgical drama shows he watched on earth. He really hoped those actors weren't just doing things dumbly.
Retracting the ribs apart, he found the empty hollow where the heart supposed to be.
"Here we go!" taking a deep breath, Sen placed grot's heart inside. Five minutes passed and the heart was beating but it wasn't reattaching to her chest. Sen panicked, reattaching the veins and whatnots was something he had no idea how to do.
'Could it be that I was wrong? But the demon clearly expressed attraction to the heart.' he thought before he remembered s something and took out the tears of Grot.
Drip!
One drop and the veins connected.
Two drops and the heart pinked up.
Three drops and the heart finally started beating safely within her chest.
Taking a bunch of healing potions, Sen poured them all in the demon's mouth. He watched as the wound on her chest closed in a visible rate and color returned to her pale skin.
