Chapter 7 - Chapter Seven: Revenge

Sammy wanted to stay as a Prince for a while longer but the librarian changed everything. He felt the dangerous vibe the man exuded to his bones and he knew he would not be able to take the books when he was there. He took a gamble by ordering everyone to come to the execution and it worked. Now, he was flying high in the sky searching for a good place to set his permanent nest. He had gotten books from all schools so he was sure he could become a powerhouse that is not worth being reckoned. He knew that humans and other races would not be able to make use of more than four schools but he felt he could master them all.

Luckily, after three days, he found an abandoned tower. Once he got in, he saw the place was covered with dust and it was messy. He grinned at this and decided this would be his new home. So, he cleaned up the place nicely and sorted the books in the castle's library. It took four days to do so and when he was done, he went for a nap. After he woke up, he started his magic learning.

People always say that time goes fast when one is busy; especially when there are no disturbances and you are an immortal vampire. Sammy did not know how much time had passed since he started his delve of knowledge. He had become more powerful than anyone could ever imagine and his spell casting was even more deadly. The book with the weird energy had given him an even bigger surprise. It was a book that made someone develops psychic powers! He had thought the book was joking but he still did as the instructions said and he started having headaches for an hour or two and when it subsided, he was standing at the middle of floating pebbles.

He had also had lit up sixty four nodes that made him into an Arch mage! Also, twenty four beast nodes had lit up too and his body was as hard as steel. Just fifty more and he would be nigh indestructible as he thought. Sammy looked at the building and sighed. He felt as if he had come into a bottleneck but the results were counter-productive. As he had read, an Arch mage had enough mana to destroy an Empire in one day. They are tyrants in an Empire and often given titles as Elders and are strictly forbidden in appearing in wars unless another Arch mage came. Now here he was, an Arch mage who was about to get into the Demi-god rank and he was loitering around.

"Phew, I have had quite the time with myself and inner demons. I have gone through all the books and perfected everything. It must have…taken…me…Shit, how long has it been? I need to search for anyone to tell me. What reference will I use? Right, the Prince of the Holy Empire betraying it. Yosh, let's go," he said then turned into a hawk. But he realized the difference of the hawk then and the hawk now. The hawk then was small and puny but this one was over five metres huge and a wingspan of fifteen metres each. He looked at himself and immediately shook his head and changed back.

"I could just fly," he said. Once he turned into an Arch mage, he immediately knew he could fly effortlessly.

He took the sky with one leap and spread his mana consciousness far and wide. After a minute, he found a village and with a sonic boom, he took off to the place. The topography of the place had changed as if there was an earth shattering battle. He could not have heard it because of the numerous wards of spells he had put all around his castle. He found dead bodies strewn all over as wild animals at them up. After a few seconds, he landed in the middle of the village. When the people saw him, they cowered in fright. An elderly man came forward, shaking.

"Great Arch mage, how can I be of service?" he asked him.

"I just want answers. Do you know of when the Prince of the Holy Empire betrayed them?" he asked. The people looked at him in surprise.

"Yes, it happened two hundred and thirty seven years ago," the old man said. Sammy felt as if he had been hit by lightning. He quickly conjured a mirror and looked at himself. He looked exactly the same meaning he did not age a single day for more than two hundred years! His clothes were worn out a little though.

"Okay, so I have been doing my research more than two centuries. That's kinda unnerving," he said to himself then turned to the old man who looked kind of familiar to him as he kept away the mirror.

"So, what happened here? I see a sign of battle," he asked.

"My son Adrian was fighting against his enemy. They were both at the Grandmaster rank and each had nine nodes lit up. They fought for two days until the other was badly injured. My son is an Arch mage now," the old man said.

"Adrian…Adrian…Adrian. I knew a brat by that name. He had a Demon Emperor core sealed inside him. Is that him?" he asked. The old man was shocked by this.

"Yes. How do you know my son, your majesty?" he asked.

"He was depressed so got him into fun trouble until he cheered up. Wait, you are that Journeyman Knight father that I had to hide from! Do you know how humiliating it was?" Sammy said. The old man felt like collapsing when Sammy exuded his pressure. He immediately went to his knees.

"I am sorry for the humiliation," he apologized, he heart in his throat.

"Don't worry, it was a long time ago. Can you direct me to a nearby town or city?"

"The nearby city is the city my son created. It is southwest from here. It's not far, I can take you there," the old man said. Sammy shook his head.

"I already got it in my mana consciousness. Thanks for the directions," he said then he floated away.

"Jared, who was that?" another old man asked.

"He's the man my boy has been looking for," he answered. "Only, he looks like a teenage while my boy looks like he is in his twenties. Surely, the higher the realm the more your lifespan,"

"If you want to live longer break through to the Master Realm. You have been stuck as a Journeyman Knight for long now."

"If I had a choice I would have already done so, you mad man,"

Sammy found the city and was impressed by what he saw. Everywhere he looked, he could see different races mingling with each other. He knew two hundred years ago this would have been impossible. As he looked around, so did the people. He was a new face and they knew new faces almost always cause trouble. Sammy was enjoying they view when four dragons landed all around him then their riders got to the ground, their swords trained on him.

"Who are you?" one of them asked him. She was a dark elf and she was curvaceous. He had to swallow in his desire and that's when it hit him; he was a two century old virgin! He felt as if his world had crumbled as he fell to the ground clutching his chest. Everyone looked at him with sneers thinking he was doing theatrics.

"Get up before we kill you where you stand," one of them said. Just then, someone landed in front of Sammy. Everyone who saw him immediately knelt but his gaze was onto Sammy. Sammy got up and looked at him carefully.

"You are definitely the brat I was playing with. But why do you have the same energy as beasts while you are a magician?" Sammy asked.

"Are you that cat that made me destroy my house?" Adrian asked.

"Guilty as charged. I would turn into one but I do not know just how big he is so sorry," he said. Adrian suddenly threw a punch at him but Adrian dodged it lazily. The winds created by the punch blew the people away and destroyed houses. "Easy there."

"Tch, I always dreamt about beating the smugness out of you," Adrian said then was about to charge again but he felt as if again invisible hand caught him in place.

"Cool your jets, brat," Sammy said as he went next to him. He then slit a small wound on his neck then tasted the blood. He immediately felt stronger as another thirty nodes lit up. His eyes shone blue for a second then they changed back.

"I was right about you; your destiny would have been dictated by others. You would have been a pawn for others but now, you a light to all these people and your blood is delicious, thanks by the way," Sammy said and let him go. Adrian immediately touched his neck as he glared at Sammy.

"What did you do to me?" he asked.

"Nothing, I promise you. Now, would you care to point me to the direction of the Holy City; I have a blood feud with the place," Sammy said.

"You are the demon they have been after for two centuries? You are the cause for their tyranny?" Adrian asked him as his aura started spiking.

"What tyranny?"

"You don't know? They have a Demi-god mage now, made by the blood of their Lord and millions of souls, including my mother," Adrian stiffly said.

"I'm sorry about your mother, if I had none they had something like that I would stolen it together with everything else. At least now I know why the place is still standing. But nor for long. I will avenge your mother and later if you feel that is not enough, I will offer my head on a pike for you," Sammy said.

"No, I am coming with…" Adrian suddenly fainted.

"This battle is not one someone with such pitiful strength will fight in and survive," Sammy told him as he let him fall slowly.

Two days later, Sammy finally came to the Holy City. As he looked at the place from above and saw just how they were thriving, the hatred bottled up for centuries came flooding out. When an Arch mage is angry, even the weather changes and it was as so right now. Red clouds covered the huge city from corner to corner and the people saw blood start raining from the sky. They started running away but this did not help as red lightning started striking them. They then went to their knees and started praying.

"Demon, that's enough!" a booming voice echoed all over the capital. The people started celebrating as Sammy frowned. A man flew from the palace and stopped thirty feet away from him. Sammy looked at him with a frown.

"You must be the artificial Demi-god," Sammy said with a mocking tone.

"Still strong enough to kill you. Surrender now and we will give you a peaceful ending," the man said. Sammy started laughing as the clouds turned from red black. Black rain fell onto the people and they started dying.

"I have spent more than two centuries to learn all the books I got from your library jut so that I can use them to destroy you all. You really think I will let myself be captured for that small reason?" Sammy asked him.

"What are you doing? Stop it? Do you not fear divine retribution for killing all these people?" the man screamt at him.

"This is just the start. Time for the encore. Rise up, El Nu Ulbar," Sammy said.

Suddenly, the rain stopped and the clouds dispersed. The black water suddenly spread all over the city, engulfing all the bodies of around two million people of all ages. Then, the water came together and started rising as it formed a colossal demon. It had six arms flaming horns and was six hundred metres tall! The man looked at it in trepidation and Sammy took this chance to fly onto its shoulder.

"El Nu Ulbar, destroy this whole kingdom," Sammy said. The demon roared out loud, destroying buildings with its sound waves.

"STOP!" the Demi-god roared but the demon backslapped him away, making him destroy and killing people all the way miles out of the capital. The demon then raised up it's hands and a huge fireball formed. From the sky, meteors started falling and they brought destruction and devastation and the shockwaves started spreading and destroying everything in their wake. In an hour, the whole Empire was gone and Sammy satisfied. After unsummoning El Nu Ulbar, Sammy floated in the air and smiled.

"Mighty good job," he said.

"Bastard!" he suddenly heard someone scream. He turned around and saw the Demi-god charging at him. He did not have time to dodge as the bastard crashed into him and they made a huge crater on the ground.

"Touch of Undeath," Sammy chanted and suddenly, a bony hand appeared in front of the bastard's chest. The hand unhesitatingly rammed into his chest and ripped out his heart!

"If I die I will not leave a demon like you in this world. Dominion Authority, Expulsion!" the bastard said with his last breath. Sammy felt as if a huge weight was put onto his shoulders and then strange runes covered his body.

"The fuck did you do?" Sammy roared but the bastard just smiled. Sammy then let his fangs out and bit his hand and both of them disappeared with a burst of light. A minute later, a woman with a dark cowl appeared on the spot.

"The little boy has grown up, I feel so proud," she said as she wiped tears off her face.
