All I could remember was the cold and darkness of the murky water. The cold water shocked my system as I was unprepared for my unintended swim. I thought back to my life as I sank into the water pinned down by a hunk of debris from the ship.
I was born to a pair of marine biologists in America and grew up incredibly wealthy from the discoveries my parents had found over the years. I would follow in my parent's footsteps and became a marine biologist.
The first expedition I go and the ship sinks just my luck. Water quickly filled my lungs as air bubbles exited my mouth and nose. My lungs began to burn as I slowly closed my eye quietly accepting my fate. I at least wish my next life will be interesting and carefree.
