Synopsis

Chapter 1 - A/N - Story Info

'One thousand origami cranes (千羽鶴, senbazuru; literally "1000 cranes") is a group of one thousand origami paper cranes (折鶴, orizuru) held together by strings. An ancient Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish by the gods. Some stories believe you are granted happiness and eternal good luck, instead of just one wish, such as long life or recovery from illness or injury. This makes them popular gifts for special friends and family. The crane in Japan is one of the mystical or holy creatures (others include the dragon and the tortoise) and is said to live for a thousand years: That is why 1000 cranes are made, one for each year. In some stories it is believed that the 1000 cranes must be completed within one year and they must all be made by the person who is to make the wish at the end.'

I came up with this story idea when I folded my own origami crane, and remembered the legend.

I'll be basing this off the belief that the 1000 cranes must be made in a year by the person seeking a wish, except I'll be using the 'long life or recovery from injury or illness' part instead of one wish.

It might change depending on how the story goes, since I don't have any set plan; just a base plot line and an ending.

I feel as though I should warn all who plan to read this, as I have no update schedule and I can be pretty inconsistent. I try not to change my mind too many times, but as an indecisive person in general it might be difficult.

Any feedback potential readers may have (criticism included) is welcome. This book probably won't be anything special, because my writing is mediocre at best most of the time. But who knows, maybe some curious soul will find it interesting.

That's it for the info page. It wasn't really necessary but it provides a bit of background I guess.
