Once Velina finished exercising, it was almost 8 o'clock in the morning.
Eyang and her brother were already waiting for her at the dining table.
No matter how busy their businesses were, their grandfather required them to always eat together, at least to have breakfast together.
Her father and her little sister are nowhere to be seen. Her grandfather told her that her father was having a business negotiation in Singapore, and would return later this evening to attend his birthday party.
While Nadine, her sister had gone to the office early in the morning. Last night her sister came home very late, so they had no chance to meet at all.
The sound of moving objects was heard, however, the workers tried their best to speak slowly so as not to disturb those who were having breakfast.
Velina's family may look warm, but for those people outside their family, the workers knew how cruel the family was if someone tried to bother them.
After she finished her breakfast, Velina was busy with her laptop, doing a video conference with her men, including Jun and Jena.
Europe and America were very good markets for selling their weapons, while in Vanesia, firearms were prohibited, only certain types and certain people in their circles could use them.
Jena looked sleepy, because in Europe, it was still around two o'clock in the morning.
Velina glanced at Jena who was yawning, understood that she was very tired. Shortly after everyone gave their report, Velina turned off her laptop, walked towards her grandfather's office.
She knocked lightly on his grandfather's study, which was warmly welcomed. Velina then entered and saw her grandparent who was playing chess alone.
"Why do you play chess alone? Where is Marino, eyang?" she asked as she moved a pawn.
"You unfilial grandchild! Marino doesn't want to play with me because I always lose against him!" grunted, he was super upset while moving a pawn carelessly.
Velina smiled broadly. She knew very well although their grandfather often scolded and berated Marino, he loved him very much. Their grandfather simply was not a sweet-mouthed person.
She moved a pawn again. This time her smile widened. "Marino was right, even if you play it all alone, eyang, you still lose! Let alone playing against Marino who is the first winner all over Vanesia" Velina laughed, seeing her grandfather's face getting more and more annoyed.
After that, Velina said goodbye. She wanted to visit her friend's boutique to fit a dress for tonight.
Her friend got angry at her on the phone when Velina suddenly asked her to make a dress to wear at her grandfather's birthday party.
Fanny, her friend, had become an international designer who often won world fashion championships. Her name was one of the pride of Vanesia, which has a lot of creative people who are famous in the art world.
Shortly thereafter, Velina arrived at a boutique located in a luxurious elite Mall, named Gallery La Fayette.
Maybe ordinary people would not dare to enter the mall, because seeing the price plastered on the items sold over there would make them have a heart attack.
Especially if they touched the items there and accidentally damaged them, maybe they wouldn't be able to replace them even though they have worked all their lives, or maybe they would have to sell their organs to pay for it.
The mall was still quiet, maybe because it was only 10:30 in the morning. A saleswoman welcomed her, because her boss had told her that Velina would come and she immediately took her to a VIP corner where she had prepared tea and light snacks for her.
"Please wait a moment, Miss Fanny is still finishing your dress," she said politely, smiled and stood there not far from her.
Felt bored, Velina stood up to look at the contents of her friend's boutique. Her gaze was fixed on a dark blue dress.
However, before she could touch the dress, a hand immediately took it first, "sorry, who was fast, she got it!" she said, smiled mockingly at Velina. The beautiful girl in front of Velina looked at her from top to toe. Velina, who was wearing only a white shirt, blue jeans and white converse, looked very simple.
"Meryl?" she asked, frowning. The girl before her was still smiling mockingly.
"Yes, I'm Meryl. If you already know who I am, get lost!" she said sarcastically.
Velina increasingly frowned. Then, she burst out laughing.
This girl is so funny!
She thought to herself. She was more determined to carry out her plan.
A fat woman, who was Meryl's assistant, looked at her irritably. "Hey! Do you know who Meryl is? She is the girlfriend of Val Capital's owner! So get lost before you get hurt!" she said harshly.
Velina did not stop laughing. The owner of Val Capital was her grandfather. While her father, who worked as the President Director, succeeded her grandfather in managing the company. Meanwhile, all the most important decisions in the company were still held by her grandfather's decision.
"All right, just take it. I'm not really interested!" she replied, shaking her head, returned back to the corner where the snack was.
Before long, a door hidden behind a glass wall opened.
"Kuda Nil[1]!" greeted a young girl, surprised to see Velina who was coolly sitting while enjoying her tea. in her hand, she carried a burgundy dress very carefully.
In one glance, Velina was very fond of the dress. She smiled broadly, stood up from her seat and approached the girl, "Hi Kangaroo! I miss you so much!" she said while kissing her cheeks and giving her a warm smile and hugging her.
