(CLOE'S POV)
My Face turns fiery on what I've heard, and my palm unwittingly flies towards his face. He is misjudging my friend, and it's not fair.
"How dare you talk about Jewel that way after everything that you've done together?" I protest over his criticism. Everything changes on how I look at him right now; he's a scumbag. And without another word after, I stride away from him straight to the taxi lane.
"Cloe, wait! I will give you a ride home." Val attempts to follow me.
Yet, with perfect timing that almost all of the passengers are gone and a vacant taxi is waiting, I get into the cab and order the driver to go as soon as possible. I look back to Val, flops his shoulders with his regretful demeanor.
I arrived home unappeased with my day, especially when Val is trying to be a scumbag again. I went out of the cab whining over to myself for paying almost two hundred pesos, wasted just for a fare.
