The building where the lawyer's office was just a small two-story building and an old one. He must also be an old lawyer. I just wondered if I will be summoned in legal matters it shouldn't be in a lawyer's office. It should be somewhere public-owned, like our barangay halls or the prosecutor's office.
I still don't know how I can get through this because I know that I don't have the important documents anymore. I lost the land titles and all the papers that will prove that my family owned that land.
However, what shocked me more was that the moment I got inside the building I saw Kyle.
"Cloe, I am waiting for you." Kyle abruptly walked towards me the moment he saw me. There's something that says worry in his face.
