Janette started wondering what she should do if she should sound an alarm or something. Then she thought what if it is Mistress Lola, she didn't want to wake the whole house and everything if it was just the mistress doing something in her office or even worse what if she just forgot to turn off a light and the room was empty the whole time.
Janette decided to go check it out before she said anything to anyone. There was no point in raising an alarm if there was nothing to be alarmed about. Janette crept up the hall trying not to make a sound no matter what it was not like she wanted to be loud and let them know she was coming if there was someone in the office.
