Janette had no idea of anything that was going on around her at this point her whole life revolved around Molly and the way that she had been feeling and the desire to get more. Molly was in the same boat as Janette and nothing but her mattered to her at all. For all that the two cared they could have broken down the door and started filming them and neither of them would have cared a single bit.
There he was more or less trapped in the elevator just praying that it remained empty till he was able to get off. He had never been in an elevator that seemed to travel this slowly it was almost like someone had intentionally slowed it down so that it would keep him trapped longer. With each floor, the elevator seemed to sit and wait there as if someone had pressed the button but the doors never opened and then it just move to the next floor.
