D went downstairs after she was done with her unpacking. She changed into comfortable clothes.
She sat beside Mrs. Kapoor and started chatting with her , completely ignoring certain 'someone'.
Mr. Kapoor couldn't take it anymore and went to sit beside them .He nudged D with his elbow ,"D why didn't you contact me for the whole year ? Are you that angry with me for not telling you ? I was also bound by promise D , plz try to understand."
D looked at him with indifference,"Its ok Baba , I'm not angry ."
"Who said I was angry with you ? How can a child be angry with her parents ? N you know you are more than parents to me ."
"I was in contact with Aai. And I was too busy for the past year , so I couldn't visit you ."
He retorted,"How can you be so busy that you couldn't come and visit us for single time ? I have to talk to your superior, how can he make you work so hard ?"
D looked sad ," I was kicked out of hospital 2 days ago ." She looked down , in order to hide her expression. No matter how tough cookie she was , she has worked at that hospital for 5 years .She was sad and angry at how they treated her , but she didn't want to talk about it now . She knew if he knew , then Prof. Kapoor will definitely stand for her and will go against them .Even if he has retired, he still has connections and power to pressure them .
As expected Prof. Kapoor got angry he almost shouted ,"How dare they kick my disciple out of hospital ? D don't worry I will seek justice for you .You will be able to work in much better environment and hospital."
D held his hand and said ," let me handle it , Prof. Kapoor . " Her voice was stern and face expressionless . She didn't address him as Baba but instead called him Prof. , it was clear she didn't want him to interfere .
