As they pass by I feel a pair of arms go around me from behind and the guy leans in close to my ear, 'I just knew you couldn't keep away from me, sestra moja'.
Cindy points her finger at us, 'Hey get your paws off of her you pyscho, before I get security to escort you off the premises'.
I put my hand on hers, in a calming manner to show her that it's okay, 'Don't worry Cindy you don't need to, unfortunately I know this moron!' she glares at him but relaxes her stance, she relaxes back into the sofa and resumes drinking while surveying the group of guys that are with Stevan.
He's still hanging onto me like a koala and I try and pluck his arm off me, but he stays firm knowing how much it's annoying me, 'So what are you doing here? I thought I said I'm having a girls out tonight'.
'Come on you don't have to lie to me Jas' I pinch his arm, 'Don't call me that name, call me Jacky' he quirks his brow at me looking genuinely confused, 'Why would I do that when your name is---' I pinch him harder, 'Ow! Ow! Alright, alright you crazy woman geez!' I look over at Cindy to see if she heard him and breathe a sigh of relief when I see her completely focused on someone behind Stevan, she has an odd expression like she can't quite figure out what she's seeing.
I try and crane my neck around Stevan's body to see what or who has gotten her attention, but Stevan's big fat head is blocking my view, 'As I was saying Jacky it's clear to me that destiny decided to intervene and show you ladies what a good time is' he points at himself and his friends, 'Luckily me and my boys are here to save the day otherwise your night wouldn't have been nearly as interesting as it's about to get' he yells over the music so that Cindy can hear him as well.
She stares at Stevan skeptically, I turn my head to look at him unimpressed with his speech and smack him on the head, 'Who says we need you guys to have fun! We are perfectly capable of doing that on our own, and we were doing just that until you decided to bust our little party. Besides if you and your "boys" hang around us we won't be able to find any hot men to spend the night with'.
'Fair point' he stands up releasing his hold on me and points at himself in his white skin tight jeans and black polo shirt, 'I guess it is pretty hard for other men to compete with perfection' he says as he pumps his biceps for display and places a dramatic kiss on both of them causing Cindy to cough as she tries to hide her snickers.
'Alright men you heard the women, we've got to be their wingmen tonight, they're on the prowl!' he shouts and a few people look our way and I try to duck down lower into the lounge, even the buzz of alcohol isn't enough to wipe away the trickling of embarrassment that I feel from the commotion this moron is causing.
I thought he was done but boy was I wrong, 'Alright boys! We're on a mission tonight! We've gotta get these ladies some raging hot men! They've got to be on our beastly level! You hear me! We are find—' I stand up abruptly, and clamp his drunken mouth shut with the back of my hand before he says anything else that could incriminate us. I frown at him as I notice a few of the snooty men in the surrounding lounges looking at us like we have a screw loose. Juuuust what I needed.
Again someone's laugh in the background catches my attention. For some reason I can't shake the feeling that I know this person, so I turn my attention away from Stevan's handsome face and scan our dim surroundings. I feel a tingle of awareness prickle along my skin, like someone is watching me and look over to his group of friends. I gasp frozen to the spot, not because of the slobber that is now on the back of my hand but by the face that matches the dark pair of eyes boring into me.
This cannot be happening! Out of all places why here, why now! My blood is pumping in overdrive. I feel adrenaline bursting through my blood vessels warning me, almost like it's saying "cut your losses and leave now".
