Adam froze. He remembered the last order he gave to Haldir, "I'm sorry Haldir," He said under his breath.
'AAM right? I'll remember this. You guys will repay this debt with interest,' Adam promised in his heart.
"Adam, are you ok?" Ruby asked after noticing Adam's weird expression.
Adam gritted his teeth, "Haldir was killed. Those pigs killed him."
Ruby and Fox were stunned. It was just like thunder in a clear sky. They couldn't believe it. With a confused expression, she then asked, "How? How could that happen?"
Adam, as if he didn't hear her voice, muttered "I will kill them, the ones that did it. I prom..."
Before Adam could finish his saying, He felt his head was hit by someone.
*Tud*
It wasn't that hard, Adam didn't feel any pain, but it managed to wake Adam up. Adam then felt a little pixie sit on his head.
"Seems like you've already woken up. Don't be silly Adam! Haldir is only taking a rest. He is not dead. Don't make a ruckus!" Even said.
"Eh~, But the notification?!" Adam asked.
Eve flew from Adam's head towards Sam, who was still unconscious. In the air, she said, "It said he was unsummoned, not dead. Don't be so hot headed . You are a leader. Many people's fates interlock with yours."
Adam was silent. There were conflicting feelings in his heart. On one hand, he felt hatred because of Haldir's misfortune, but on the other hand, what Eve said was true.
While he was still thinking about it, Ruby's voice reached him, "I get the gist of what happened to Haldir, but, like Eve said, he is fine. That is the important thing. Try to calm down, you don't have to throw away your hatred. Just bury it in your heart, if you can't let it go."
It was unexpected that such words came from Ruby's mouth. Adam forgot his grief and looked at her in amazement. He didn't say anything, but his eyes told her all.
She then smiled, "Do you think I don't get depressed if something bad happens? I won't tell you to forgive them, we all have a bottom line, and if someone is crossing it, we have to do something. Now tell me everything, I want the whole story. If it is within my power, I will help you find them."

"B-Boss, was it really alright? Killing that elf will infuriate Adam, and if Adam has the princess's support, we're done for, " a masked man said in a trembling voice.
The other masked man stood still looking at an empty floor. There were some traces of blood on it, "It was my fault. If we hadn't attacked them while they were saving Sam, he wouldn't send the elf to follow us to our hideout. And if the elf wasn't stupid enough to trigger the trap, he wouldn't have died. Stop dawdling! Do you want to be hung? Grab anything important and abandon the rest. We must leave in 5 minutes! No, 3 minutes."
He then strode farther inside the building. The other masked man murmured, "Damn you AAM, if it was not because of your commission, we wouldn't have kicked an iron bucket, and been forced to run away. You are on your own now. I hope the master's influence can protect you."

That was a long evening for Adam's group. After Adam explained what had happened while he was saving Sam, they asked Fox to tell them the truth. Sullivan was also there, to do his job.
Fox explained that Hector had broken ties with AAM. After that, the masked men came to their private field. They gave Windart's members, who had been analyzing their loss, two choices. They could choose to never be able to live peacefully again in Silverpool City or they could break ties with the Windart team.
Because of the threat, the majority of the members chose to leave the team, although they were unwilling. As for Sam and Fox, they weren't willing to leave Hector alone, as Hector was the masked men's real target.
After that, they tried to leave the field, but the masked men were too much for them to handle. With much difficulty, they barely left the field, but the masked men never gave up chasing them.
As a result, they were injured from fighting the masked men a few times, and the masked men didn't fight seriously. As if they were playing with them.
The more Adam and the rest heard, the angrier they were. They never thought people could be that cruel. Only Sullivan had no change in his expression while listening to the story.
As Fox finished his story, Sullivan's subordinate came to tell them the carriage was ready. Adam and the rest then continued their journey back to the city.

*Bam*
The old Duke slammed his hands onto his study table. It seemed like the man in front of him had already gotten used to his temperament. He didn't even bat an eye while facing the furious old Duke.
"How could this happen in my city? Do you already know where their hideout is?" The Duke scolded the man.
"Sure master, number 3 is bringing number 7 go there. How do you want this case to be handled?" The man asked.
"Display their bodies in front of the South gate. Let it be a warning for them to not make a mess in my territory anymore," The old Duke said in a cold tone.

The masked men seemed to have already finished sorting their valuables, documents, weapons, wealth, and other things.
One of them said, "Alright, now let's spread out. Remember, come to the 'blue point' before three days are up. If any of you don't come by that time, then I will assume you have already died, I don't want any of you to get caught alive."
The other masked men nodded, but as they wanted to get out of the building, a voice startled them.
"Good plan, really. It's a pity you are already too late," a blonde man with black armor said. At his side, there was a bald man who couldn't help but smile looking at the startled masked men.
Then, they noticed that two additional people were among them. They were confused at first, how could two people come in without anyone noticing.
"My mother used to say to not play with your food, Seven. Get the job done, so I can have dinner with my wife and son," the bald man said amused
A masked man got goosebumps and said in a panic, "It's Cerberus! Run!"
The masked men ran away quickly, but the strange thing was, they didn't run to the door like they should have. They were just running around the room.
"Seven, stop delaying, finish them!" the bald man shouted impatiently.
The blonde man, Seven, stopped smiling, his expression turned serious, "Ok, Ok. There's no need to shout. I'll do it now."
Then the masked men started attacking each other.
"Damn you Black Hounds, move! Break out of here!" A masked man launched a fireball at another masked man.
The other masked man then launched a thunderbolt at the one who attacked him.
The masked man who was psychic made various objects float and used them to attack three of his friends, "Die! You nobles' dogs."
Among the masked men that were attacking each other, Seven and Three were chatting about something, Seven said, "As the date of the auction is nearing, it seems we will be busier and busier."
Three answered, "It's better than having to go to some forests or mountains to hunt down the bandits. These days, I'm starting to doubt myself. Am I really a member of Cerberus and not just a vehicle? The captain always asks me to not participate in the battle. He said I was just wasting my mana. Damn!"
"Hahaha, it is your fault for being a weak teleporter, but I envy you a lot. If my skill doesn't work on someone, then I'm a sitting duck, but you, you can just run away, even if you're cornered," Seven said as he inspected the battle situation. Like a puppeteer, he made sure the 'puppets' were acting properly.
"Yeah, after I saw Sir Adam's recording when he was playing against a psychic, I am glad I awakened as a teleporter and not an illusionist," Three said with a sneer.
"You damn escapist! I can beat him anytime I want, so what if he is immune to illusions. I can just use somebody else to fight him," Seven said in an annoyed tone.
"Hahaha, you are a level 7 mage, and he is just a level 3. Don't lower yourself to such a degree And don't forget, he also has Haldir and the others. When this kid and his summoned beings become stronger. He can use his summons to gang up on you," Three rebutted.
"Hah! when he is at level seven, I will have already broken through to level 8. When I can fly, what can he do to me?" Seven still didn't want to lose.
"Hahaha... It is always fun to tease you, my friend. And if he can summon something like a demon or an angel. What will you do?" Three said.
"...," Seven opened and closed his mouth, but he couldn't answer.
"He has so much potential. Captain also has a high evaluation of him. I heard the Duke put some shadows to protect him," Three said while looking at the almost finished battle.
