Javed and Andre ran out into the corridor. There were no guards. They checked the rooms along the corridor but there was no sign of the others. Could they have been taken somewhere else. There was nobody in any of these rooms it was very strange..... everywhere was empty. Javed saw a window in one of the rooms and he peeked out by slightly moving the curtains and tilting his head.
It looked as if it was the same forest they were staying at.
"I dont think they're far from here. They might've gotten away. Why without me though?" Javed was confused.
"They left both of us knowing that we'll be fine. We could still catch up if we leave now" Andre told him.
"I see no reason why we should stay here let's go!" Javed rushed.
Javed managed to fit through the window bars and so did Andre. Javed was unsure if he could trust Andre. They just met but he had no choice but to follow andre. What if lost control again.
"I shouldn't overthink....just keep running," Javed thought to himself.
Javed saw Justyn and Jhaved helping john walk out in the distance but not too far away.
They talked about their escapes.
Andre helped the rest of them escape. The same way he helped Javed just but he had to take out way more security which is why the halls all seemed empty.
They needed somewhere safe to stay.
"We could try finding our camp" John suggested while taking deep breaths in between words.
Everyone was in disagreement. It was to risky to go back there. They didnt even know where in the forest they were. Jivan, their map reader, was not here. What were they to do?
"Um I know you all dont trust me full yet but what if I take you guys somewhere" Andre said.
They separated themselves from Andre and gathered in a tightly packed circle to discuss.
There was some debate with Jhaved and Zane having the most trust issues. Justyn wasn't even thinking this through. In the end, they seemed to have no other viable choice but to follow Andre. They were lost and scared and still didn't know where Jivan was.
They had to go. They turned to face him and nodded their heads in agreement.
"Ok just do everything I say" Andre told them.
"Everybody step back" Andre continued.
They looked at each other in concern but they all took a few steps back. A symbol appeared on the ground and lit up the dark evening. The symbol was a large circle with several triangles in a pattern.
They stood in fear not knowing what was going on. People fear what they don't understand.
"Everyone get to the center of the large triangle!" He commanded us.
Jhaved and Justyn went in first carrying John. Zane and Javed looked at each other and Javed could tell that Zane was scared but they had no choice. Zane and Javed walked in together.
Now it was Justin to come. He just stood there like he didn't want to come. Finally he joined the others.
Once they were all in the circle, a bright flash of white light impaired thier vision. They all shut their eyes tightly to save them from what seemed to be a blinding light. When they finally opened their eyes after a few seconds the white light faded away and they could see once more.
At first glance it was dark and dimly lit and seemed to be underground. Could this be what Andre was telling them about.
"Humans aren't welcomed here so just follow my lead. No one would even recognise you as humans unless u saw something out of the ordinary," Andre said.
"So nobody's gonna question what just happened or where we are?" John interrupted.
"Nope, after I saw today we should just not question too much and just accept it" Zane said.
Zane was right. They could not question everything or else they would end up no where.
This place was crowded and had buildings made from wood. The buildings looked as though it was from the sixteenth century. Javed looked up and all he could see was a dome of dirt very high up. The dirt 'dome' was so high up it looked as if you fit an entire skyscraper in there. They all looked around in confusion and shock. they could not see the other end of this dirt 'dome'. It was as large as an entire city possibly.
"Did we just go back in time? Travelled to another planet or like...?" Javed asked in confusion.
"This is the underground world. We simply just call it the underground. We have a negative history with humans," Andre explained to us.
He further explained that they've been hunted by the government since they pose a threat to society but the government keeps it all a secret.
"What the fu-" Justyn began
"Hi!" Jivan exclaimed with a dumb smile on his face.
"WHAT ARE YOU DONING HERE!?" Javed yelled because of how surprised he was to see Jivan here.
Jivan explained that he could not remember what happened. All he could remember was that he was staying with John and everything after that was too difficult to recall. Then he awoke here in this place and pointed to the building that he woke up in. It was the largest building there and was the most colourful building there too as far as they eyes could see. it was quite grand. Some may say it looked like a palace.
"That's the king's palace,"Andre's eyes widened
"I think his name was kayode or something like that," Jivan said without a care in the world.
"That is king kayode to you. How dare you refer to the king like that!" Andre intimidated jivan.
Jivan went on to tell us that he explained to the king what he saw and the king apologized to him on behalf of the person that scared them.
"Jivan.... you're aware that you're a monster, right?" Justyn said while showing him John's wounds.
Jivan claimed that he did not do anything of the sort and that he would never hurt John. John stopped Jivan and explained what exactly happened. When everyone left camp Jivan was looking around the camp and found some fur. John continued to explain that Jivan decided to investigate the fur and then thats when it happened.
Jivan grew into a large beast and attacked John who was already in an ill and helpless state. Jivan dragged John out of the tent and put John near the tree where Javed and Zane found John.
Jivan fell to the ground crying and begging for forgiveness. He became determined to fix himself. He could not let this happen to anyone else.
"We must go see the King" Jivan insisted to us.
