I peered out the window ahead, noting the deep, hypnotic funnel of distorted space-time, and I couldn't help but feel like I wanted to dive further inside. 'Butland, why are we still whole and not mere probability waves riding the current from this side to the other?'
Butland grinned. 'I wouldn't know. I might have lived countless lifetimes, but I've never found myself trapped as we are now.'
