I pressed my face against the gondola's glass window; while I could see what was there, I couldn't quite believe it. 'Uvaaaru?'
'Those creatures care nothing for the lives of others. Why did you bring them?'
'I didn't! I-'
There must have been hundreds of them formed into one grand formation. Then as they approached the gondola port, their numbers were forced to bottleneck, and those unfortunate enough to be at the front were constantly being shoved from behind.
'Is your mirage magic in effect?'
The Dragon Knight wasn't sure whether to reply, then he nodded once before yanking the gondola doors open.
'Then that should hold them at bay for a little while.'
'The Uvaaaru aren't stupid, and now its time to show us where your allegiances lie.' The knight leapt out from well over one hundred feet; then I saw Navarl swoop down from above to catch him.
