"Thank you.I'm Jace."
"Great. So you'll give me your number so I can send you the details."
"Ok then."
He then wrote on his notepad and tore the paper then gave it to me.Jace then left to get us our food.
Immediately he left, Emma started smiling.
"He's really hot."
"Yea...he's ok."
"Did you see his dark brown eyes. Damn...he's so sexy."
"Do I have to be concerned about you and him during the party?"
"No Claire, but it's going to be epic."
After we ate I paid the bill and we left. It was around eight o'clock when I got home. I said a quick hello to my parents who were watching tv. I ran upstairs and took another shower.
I then went into Tyler's room.
"Hey, can I come in?"
"Sure thing."
"So, you know that my birthday is on Saturday."
"Yea I do."
"And mom and dad are leaving for New York tomorrow."
"Wait they are?"
"Yes. Anyway I wanted to tell you that I will be throwing a party at night. I just wanted to know that you'll be cool with it."
"That's fine with me. As long as you keep everything in check. I'll spend the night at Maddie's."
"Thank you so much. I won't disappoint."
I then went to brush my teeth and headed to bed. Tomorrow was a Friday and we needed to wake up early in order to take mom and dad to the airport.
* * * *
I woke up feeling rather happy. I got ready and went downstairs. Mom had made waffles. After breakfast we left for the airport since mom and dad we're nearing to be late.
"Be safe honey, ok?"
"Sure thing mom," I said while she pulled me into a hug.
"Take care of her," Said dad to Tyler.
"Sure thing pops."
The ride back home was silent. When we got home, I put on a little makeup and we headed out with Emma to make the preparations for my birthday.
We first went to Gareth's and had a talk with their manager and cashed in a deposit. We agreed that we would pay the rest later. Afterwards we just bought some snacks and headed home. After all tomorrow was a big day.
That I couldn't sleep for some reason. It definitely wasn't anxiety for my seventeenth birthday, it was something else. I could hear noises outside. I went to window and drew the curtain. I looked around and I couldn't see anything. I started to turn back when I heard a tapping on my window.
I looked back and to my shock, I saw Regina again. This time she was clinging on to my window telling me to open it. I stepped back and I tripped. I tried to scream but I couldn't. I went back to bed and faced the other side of my room. I covered my whole body completely with my duvet.
The tapping grew louder and louder until it stopped. I let out a sigh of relief and went to sleep. I woke up a bit shaken about what happened the night before.
I then saw my phone light up. I smiled since I noticed it was from Kyle.
*Hey, beautiful. I wanted to be the first to tell you Happy Birthday *
*Thank you*
I went downstairs to get breakfast. Tyler was still asleep. He came downstairs a while later.
"Happy Birthday Claire."
"Thank you Ty."
"How was your sleep?" He asked.
"It was not bad," I replied.
If only I could tell him.
"Cool. So are you excited for your birthday?"
"I guess so."
"Ok, then. Have fun."
Shortly afterwards I went up to my room. I called Emma and told her to get ready and come to my house. It was nearing ten o'clock. I took a quick shower. Emma had arrived by the time I had finished showering.
"Hey."
"Hey."
"Help me pick an outfit."
"Sure thing."
After a series of going through my wardrobe. Emma picked out an outfit. I took them quickly and headed into the bathroom. I came out and had a glance at the mirror. We were running late. Emma did a slight make up for me and we headed out.
A good number of guys had arrived at Gareth's . I saw Kyle and smiled at him. He smiled back and came to me. Emma then left to look for Jace.
"Hey," said Kyle as he pulled me into a hug.
"Hey."
"Nice party."
"Thanks but this is just a distraction. The real deal is tonight's party."
"Oh, there's a party that I wasn't told about?" asked Kyle in a seductive way.
I let out a slight chuckle.
"We were going to tell everyone when this party was about to end."
"Oh ok."
Time passed so quickly. I talked to some of my school friends that I had last seen when schools closed.
