3rd person pov.
Alyssa Davis, daughter of Mark Davis. Her mother Cassandra passed away when she was 10. Her father then remarried to Lyvia North. She had a daughter, two years younger than her. Her name was Roselle North. When her father remarried, things started changing for the worse. Her father ended up finding more favor for Roselle because she 'acted like a proper girl'.He started acting slightly more hostile towards Alyssa.
Roselle would make lies to turn people on Alyssa. She would throw tantrums whenever she didn't get what she wanted. She wanted skirts, dresses, gowns, jewelry, accessories, all from famous designers. Alyssa was the COMPLETE opposite of Roselle. She likes wearing boyish clothes. At times she would wear a skirt or a dress but those are once in a blue moon occasion. She would go to "low branded" stores and would spend up to 50(dollars, yen, euros, pesos, etc.). She didn't feel the need to spend a lot on appearances. Most girls would be on a diet, Roselle for example. Alyssa didn't find the need for a diet, she called it stupid. Alyssa would take self-defense classes every other day.
Over the years Alyssa's father started losing more money rather than gaining. The main reason was that Lyvia and Roselle would spend over a thousand(dollars, yen, euros, pesos, etc.) on beauty products, clothing, spa treatments, jewelry, etc. Alyssa is 24, Roselle is 22. Over the years Alyssa started acting and dressing more boyish clothing, and sitting like a boy. Her father noticed and decided to leave it to Lyvia to teach her how to behave.
Lyvia would force her to study the behaviors of women. At one point she started sneaking out. She would go to a slightly rougher side of town to hang out with a couple of friends. There she would skateboard, practice parkour, and would spray paint on the abandoned buildings. Everyone in that area took a liking to her. The boys would try to get with her but she simply found no interest in them. Eventually, they gave up and saw her more of a sister.
Her father and Lyvia later found out that she would sneak out and skip the lessons they were furious at. They gave her a curfew at 8 pm, she could no longer leave the house without a bodyguard. She always managed to lose them. Alyssa was always smart, so by the time she was finishing high school, she found herself a job. Her father, Lyvia, and Roselle all thought it was absurd and unnecessary. Alyssa kept working and eventually bought herself a small house. She moved out as soon as possible. Her father didn't like it. Whenever there was a business gathering, Alyssa would make an excuse not to go.
Now that you have basic knowledge of Alyssa and her life let's go to the present time.
Alyssa's pov.
"Say what now?!
Father: "speak properly!"
"I don't care! I'm not marrying him, I don't even love him"
Lyvia: "You have to! It will benefit the company, whether you like it or not."
"And who the hell do you think you are to be making that kind of decision for me huh?!"
Father:" I am your father! You will marry Mr. Castanova"
"Wasn't it supposed to be that bitch, Roselle?!"
Lyvia grew livid and was about to smack me but father stopped her.
Father:" her face can't be damaged! look if you do this, we'll stop pestering you to move back in. The salary of the workers in the company depends on your decision. Think of how many families might starve from hunger? They depend on the company for their salary."
Did…. did he just use my feelings as a way for his benefit??...
"FINE! Fine, I'll do it…..'
And just like that, I was dragged away to put the wedding dress, makeup, and heels.
"Holy shit how the hell do women stay in these for a whole day?! I'll pay respect to those women" I whispered.
I looked in the mirror and I saw a completely different person. Is it me??. I sighed. Let's get this day over with...
I made my way to the door then peeked my head out. I found my stepmother waiting outside. My god, she gets on my nerves…
"I'm done"
Lyvia: "Alright, now hurry up we can't keep Ian Castanova waiting"
I know I've heard that name somewhere…. But where…?
As we were walking I couldn't stop thinking about it. I stopped once I saw my father waiting for me. Waiting to send me away…
As we walked down the aisle he squeezed my arm and whispered:
"You better not mess this up, alright."
I tried my best to not wince at the pain he gave me. God that's going to leave a mark.
We got through the whole ceremony and we both said our vows, our i do's, and put on each other's ring. We skipped the kiss, why? I have no clue myself either, but oh well i couldn't care less. We made our way to our parents.
Richard: "I'm glad to finally have a daughter in law, I hope grand babies are next."
I tensed at the word 'grandbabies'. Everyone else lightley laughed as I nervously chuckled.
Diana: "oh rich, don't rush it, they're still young!"
Lyvia: "she's right!, but why don't we leave these two love birds alone?"
She said in her usual bitchy tone. No matter how many years I've been around her, I still hate it.
Father: "you're right"
Diana:" awe, i wanted to get to know my daughter-in-law~. Oh well until next time darling, call me if you need anything!" she said, giving me her business card along with her personal phone number on it.
"Alright, Thank you Mother-in-law!" I said in my fake and sweet tone, and bowed slightly.
Diana: "please, just call me 'mom', you're part of our family now!"
"Ok!, thank you..mom''
And with that me and my new husband walked off, and left for our new 'home'
