RUBY'S POV
This wasn't my day and I had tonnes of reasons to believe that. Apart from the fact that I still felt the need to shield my face away from Max, the said face was breaking out from period pimples. No amount of foundation was enough to cover it. I'd poked my eyes so many times trying to get mascara in and got too irritated and decided I'd not do this whole make up thing today. I never had to anyway.
I didn't have breakfast because I didn't want to feel bile churning up my throat every two seconds. I was already flared enough from the existence of everything. The engine sound as I rode to school was unbearable, the sun shining on my bear face was uncalled for and most of all, the way the seconds were barely ticking by on the large clock in the biology lab made me want to rip out my hair.
