MAX'S POV
There wasn't a single traffic rule I didn't break just to be able to get to Ruby on time. Her voice, choked with emotion and the attempt to control her sobs. She wasn't even able to speak, as soon as she'd opened her mouth she broke down on the other end of the phone. My mind was touring all the no-go zones trying to think of what might have happened and if I didn't get there sooner I would lose my sanity.
