Chapter 1 - Prolog

- 1 March 2022 -

Freya, who was currently dealing with a teenager who brought one of his novels, had a big smile on his face.

"Sis, Fay! I am your fan! I love all your novels, especially this one that just came out!"

Freya continued to smile when she saw the teenager in front of her said excitedly.

"Thank you very much. I am very happy if you like all my work. Hopefully there are important points and moral values that you can get from my work."

The teenager nodded his head excitedly.

"There are many important points that I can get from your work for my life lessons. You have to keep up the spirit of writing other new works. "

"Sure! Oh, do you want a selfie or an signature?"

"Both of them, sis!"

Freya chuckled at the attitude of the teenager in front of her and now the two of them are posing to take photos with good angles.

After finishing the photo, the teenager walked down the stage and now Freya's gaze was fixed on the crowd of readers who came to the Fan Meeting which was organized by one of the biggest bookstores with other writers and held at the National Library.

Freya smiled happily and more when a boy in a gray and white school uniform was now in front of her.

Freya did not think that there were also men who liked her novel. Because the majority of women really like the novel.

"Hello, you just came home from school, huh?" Freya asked the student in front of her, while her hand incised pen ink forming a signature on the front page of the novel.

"What's your name? Let me write it here."

Now Freya raised her head to look at the male student in front of her who was just staring at her without expression.

Freya frowned in surprise, but a smile remained on her face.

"Hey, are you daydreaming? What's your name? Let me write it here." Freya asked again, this time while waving her hand in front of the boy's face until the boy finally snapped out of his reverie.

"Ekhm, my name is Joziar."

"Oh, Joziar. What grade are you in?"

"Twelfth grade."

Freya narrowed her eyes in surprise. "Waaah national exams have arrived. Stay diligent in studying, so that my grades are high and won't regret it someday."

The male student just nodded his head and looked at Freya who was writing something under his signature.

"This is the novel. Spirit! The gates to your true life will open soon!" Freya said while clenching her fists in encouragement.

"Thank you. May I ask?"

Freya who heard the male student's words nodded her head in certainty. "Yes. What do you want to ask?"

The male student was silent for a moment with his eyes fixed on Freya's two beads that met his bead.

"If you are faced with two choices. Between living in the real world or the world of the novel. Which would you choose?"

Freya immediately fell silent and the smile on her face now slowly faded.

"The real world. Although sometimes I like to fantasize about living in the world of novels. But I will still choose to live in the real world."

"Why?"

Freya frowned in surprise. "What?"

"Why did you choose to live in the real world?"

Freya folded her arms in front of her chest and smiled.

"Because the life I live now can never be found in the world of novels. Like family, friends, achievements and readers like you."

Freya blinked her eyes waiting for another question that this male student in front of her seemed to be asking.

"If one day, you get stuck in the novel world by being the main character there and you can't return to this world until you decide which ending you choose in the novel world. What would you do?"

Freya hummed for a moment while thinking about the answer she would give the unique boy before her.

"Yes, I will continue to live my life there until I find an ending that suits me, so I can come back here. No other choice, right?"

The male student nodded his head slowly. "You won't regret it?"

"Why should you be sorry? That's what happened."

Silence enveloped them. Freya turned her head in another direction where there was one of the committee members who signaled to her that the time for the boy in front of her was running out.

However Freya shook her head with a smile on her face. gestured to give the boy in front of him extra time.

"Oh yes. Why do you ask that?" Freya asks who is looking back at the boy now.

"I'm just asking what's written in this novel. I saw some scenes in this novel, where you code the main character to recognize you when you go to visit the world of the novel."

Freya frowned in surprise. "Is there a scene like that? I even forgot hehehe."

The male student nodded his head for sure. "Yes here."

"Hmmm, maybe this is just a casual conversation I made to add a little atmosphere to the story. Don't think too much about it. You just need to study hard enough, so you don't regret it later. "

Freya also reached out to pat the head of the male student which of course immediately invited screams from other readers.

"Okay, I'll try to forget that."

After that the male student left leaving Freya who shrugged her shoulders indifferently. "After all, how could an ordinary human try to enter the world of the novel? What nonsense is that little brother."
