A snobby snort followed her statement as she held her hands out in the night, looking at it. Her nails looked broken.
'Sigh, I need to visit a nail salon after this. My nails are in no condition to visit the chancellor, he'd think that I'm living off my son's wealth without! That'd ruin my image!'
Getting bored with her worn-out nails, she brought her eyes back to him. Things were getting heated between them. A lot of unsaid words lingered in the air as her eyes contacted his.
She couldn't bear the silence anymore, it was as if it was suffocating her out of personal hate. If she did anything to disturb silence it was because she had galas to throw in favor of her friends.
