"Why should I?" shouted Lee, as he tried his best not to look at Will's bloodied lips.
His wife's blood, to be exact.
There always comes a time in a person's life where he/she would give everything they'd accomplished in life to save someone important.
Lee was at that point in life, but sadly he had no one to save but himself, and he wasn't ready to let go of the information he'd gotten.
He'd calculated Will's move, and he knew that threatening people made him feel superior. The only problem he had was that Will actually went through with his threats.
The light flickered out above them, leaving them in nothing but darkness, giving him the perfect opportunity to make a run for it. He still had Iselala to save.
He would be dammed if he let another person he cared for die under his watch. Pushing his entire weight on his toes, he ran as fast as he could, tilting slightly because of his trembling legs.
