Chapter 49:
"Hey, what the doc say about mom?" his son asked when he walked into the room. He could feel the tension in the room eating his skin and it was unbearable.
'It's best to keep it from him a while,' he thought as he waved his hands in the air while shaking his head.
"The doctor said that she'll be able to kick a horse in the next 2-3 weeks," he said while an enormous smile on his face. 'That'll convince them,' he thought proudly.
He was abruptly pulled from his thoughts when heard a croaky voice said from beside him. "I-Is that really what he said?"
"Is it?" asked Trevor as he gave his best friend a hopeful smile, ' She's going to be fine,' he thought while reassuring his self.
"Why would I lie about my wife's condition?" asked Axel to no one in particular.
And why would he? He had everything he could ever want, four wonderful kids, a smart and beautiful girlfriend, and a sweet innocent wife.
