Chapter 5 - Fantasy V.S Reality

Chapter 5:

Victoria grimaced when a waiter passed by with what looked like a lobster on his serving platter, and knew that her pregnancy was not the cause of her dislike towards the dish, she just never fancied them in the beginning.

Victoria was standing at the far back corner of the restaurant, her client had selected this location for them to discuss business, of course, Victoria could not disregard it as she had always done in the past, for this was a huge opportunity that her company could not afford to lose.

Grimacing, Victoria wished that she'd took the opportunity when she had the chance.

Micheal, her client had chosen a very well-known restaurant in the city although she never heard of it; Victoria was told that it was an underdog, and no one knew that its name would grow so fast.

It's interior was not like other traditional restaurants with their fancy design and classical music, Hallopana's interior had a bonfire in the center of the room, their source of light was there, LED light strips that covered the ceiling and the Hip Hop music that played throughout the restaurant, it seemed more like a club to Victoria.

When she first arrived, she wore a backless gown that was adorned with some mint colored pearls at both shoulders, it mostly consisted of lace and clung to her like a second skin, she paired a silver pouch that sparkles in the light to finish the look, but was informed that she would have to wear something casual to fit the requirements.

" Ms. Jamespell, a pleasure to see you as always" Victoria turned towards the voice but gasped when she saw how close Micheal was taking a step back she plastered a semi-genuine smile on her place while returning the greeting in but more formally and professionally than Micheal's.

They spent approximately an hour going over fine prints of the contract before closing the deal.

To say that Micheal was disappointed was an understatement he was both hurt and annoyed, Micheal spent over an hour trying to impress Victoria.

It seems like she was oblivious to both his advance and his hints. He even suggested a restaurant that his friend Axel had suggested, this restaurant saying that it would suit her when he had described her personality.

Micheal started to like Victoria when she told him she supported him with his case against his daughters' mother.

Victoria had helped him with creating the evidence for the trial and formalizing the legal paper works.

He would be forever grateful towards Victoria; he always had to admire her from a remote, her courage, confidence, and beauty.

Therefore, he was so ecstatic when he had been given the opportunity, whether good or bad, to be alongside Victoria.

That guy who gets to call Victoria babe every day was sure lucky, to kiss her succulent lips, to wake up beside her every morning getting out only once to give her breakfast in bed.

He surely was lucky to weave his hands through that soft, silky hair of hers, to caress every part of her body and make her feel like a queen.

He was lucky to hear her uttered; those three sensual words from her lips," I love You"; 'She's worth the stars' he thought.

Victoria sat there creeped out as she watched him watch her while groaning as he bit his lips, squinting one of his eyes in what seemed like a winking motion; it made him look constipated, his face suddenly turned from constipated to murderous, and the knife in his left palm bent into half instantaneously.

Victoria moved back into her seat in astonishment, causing the other customers to pause and look for a while, Victoria smiled apologetically to the customers. It seemed as if Micheal, did not hear or witnessed what occurred;

but his face, however, had transitioned to a different emotion.

This time the expression Micheal acquired seemed to be that of love and adoration, and Victoria wanted to know about this person who had caused to look like a lovesick puppy muttering under his breath.

Victoria emitted a faint 'aww'; when she noticed what Micheal was muttering.

This broke Micheal out of whatever trance he was in because he flashed Victoria a pearly white smile, which caused his face to brighten.

Sitting two seats across from Micheal and Victoria was Micheal's ex-girlfriend and the mother of his kids, Casey.

She had made sure to disguise herself by wearing a platinum blond wig, she had used makeup to conceal her tattoos, changed her usual style of clothing and went for a cute yellow floral dress, a jeans jacket and a pair of brown pumps and to finish the look she had a pair of brown-colored contacts.

Casey wanted to see who was on the list of 'Micheal's New Conquest'; the lady seated at the table with him had helped that bastard to receive full custody of her babies.

She would never forgive them for that.

She carried them for nine months along with all the troubles that followed the pregnancy. It was all her she was the first one to care for them; she was the one who was in labor for 22 hours all her.

Casey could not sit and watch them eat and talk anymore, she quickly got up and walked towards the exit, waiting on the outside of Hallopana's, was no other than the stranger, tonight he was on duty as always but came to lure some helpless girl named Casey.

He was told not to approach the subject, to record all she did and to he was not attractive would be considered a sin. She was 'The Falcons' sister and anyone that harm her would be in grave danger.

He felt something tugged his heartstrings when he noticed her red puffy eyes, an indication that she had been crying.

Ignoring his orders for the first time surprisingly, the stranger went towards the person who was related to the one who orders he disobeyed; reaching in his back pocket he withdrew a handkerchief and held it out to Casey saying,

" Here, you look like you need this more than me."
