Some weeks later:
Ines wrapped the last layer of gauze around her patient's abdomen before she patted it slightly. Moving over towards the bin, she pulled off the rubber that clung to the skin of her hands.
"Is the treatment working?" asked her patient with curiously filling her tone.
Flashback.
It was a Saturday when Ines Amerrann heard a harsh banging on her front door. There was a woman covered in blood with a small red towel soaked from blood wrapped around her as she shivered from the cold.
A storm was coming and left with no other choice, Ines opened her door to a person she knew nothing about. Giving her a hot cup of coffee, she went into her room as she searched her closet for the hoodie her ex gave her as a parting gift.
'She may need a pair of socks too,' she thought as she halted at the exit of her room, before she heads towards her drawer, pulling out a pair of black socks.
