"So where should we go?" Jake asked
Opening the car door for me, which he always does, what a gentleman right?
"I don't know the usual I guess," I said while entering Jake's car, thanking him. yep jake always give us rides since he already got his license
His dad gave him this black car on his 16th birthday, pretty sweet huh, I know also he's 2 years older than me and Val. Currently, we are still waiting for Valorie, she took her stuff at her locker, she'll be here in a minute. After some time Valorie went out then entered the car
"let's go?" She said jake nodded
The car drive wasn't that long since it's just 2 miles away, we arrived at the famous dinner slash our favorite place to eat
" chicken joe's dinner?" Val asked
" yep as always, I thought you two like this place plus vlaire said the usual, so yeah " jake laugh
Val looked at me then laughed
" hey don't laugh at me also I know you guys love this place too plus we'll leave soon I sure well miss this place" I sighed
Val and Jake laughed
" You mean you two, I sure will miss you guys," Jake said
" But you guys are not leaving yet so let's just enjoy shall we?" he continued " but we will in few months," Valorie said
" also if that's what you want vlaire but tomorrow lets try a new dinner what do you guys say," Valorie asked, I chuckled
" yes let's do that" We then entered the dinner this never fails to give me a warm feeling I sure will miss this when I and Val move to new york we went straight to the counter
" hey jake" one of the waitresses greeted jake while twirling her hair
"it's obvious she likes jake and trying to flirt with him, its funny to watch, how amusing"
Valorie whispered to me while chuckling "Valorie don't judge her. Maybe that's one of her habits, don't you think?" I said Val sigh
"you know Vlaire this is your problem how can you be so innocent sometimes it's dangerous you know" Val sighed "good thing I'm always here to protect you you're like my little sis you know, I don't want anything to happen to you, you're nice and honest with me I adore that, and lastly you're not like any other girls," she said with a soft concerned look
" ill be fine Val, plus like you said you're always beside me so I think ill be fine," I said giving her my famous bunny smile
Jake ordered our meal, while me and Val went to our table beside the glass window at the right side of the diner
We seated beside each other while we save a seat in front of us which is where jake will be sitting
" Vlaire look at the way she looks at jake," Val said still talking about the girl
" isn't she the girl from class C, who they said mean and always hooks up with boys, especially guys from senior year, I think her name is Stella" Val continued
"I don't know Val I never paid attention to them I didn't even know that rumor," I said
" hey that's not a rumor its a fact. I saw her making out with this guy from class B, Damon I think, can you believe she even got a boyfriend, poor guy," Val said I looked at Stella who's taking Jake's order
Our topic about Stella went on and how the guys she's dating must've felt and warning me not to get close to Stella and her friends. that she's bad and they might bully me or something, she made me promise not to, which I did, I wasn't planning on getting close to them though. Val, jake, and my family is more than enough for me.
After some time I saw jake approaching our table with our food on it and drinks, he placed our meal in front of us, thanking him he nodded and smiled in return. He ordered my fave double cheese burger, a large fries, baked alaska for my dessert, and a coke
Val had a reuben sandwich, a large fries, a key lime pie, and a sprite
While he had a beef jerkey, a burger, mint chocolate chip pie, and coke
He settled in front of me and Val
" I'm sorry it took so long, you guys must've been starving," he said
" Nah... Its fine jake, thanks" I said Valorie nodded
" yep it's fine thank you, by the way, have you seen how that girl looked at you," Val said Teasingly
" you mean Stella?" He asked I looked at Val, her jaw dropped when she heard what Jake said, in her defense, even I was shocked. I mean jake was not the type of guy who'll hang out with those kinds of girls and he never dated someone like Stella before, he dates someone hot, professional, and with curves type of girl or sometimes someone cute, sweet, and nice like Amy and lea a hot, curvy and pretty girl she's nice though and some girls that I forgot already
" Stella? Stella heesters from William high? You know her?" Val asked still shocked by the fact he knew her
" yeah, I mean kinda, it's a long story. She always tries to hook up with me though," jake said casually while shrugging like it was no biggie, he must've been used to it, I guess. Val made an o-face as she expected it
" But I always ignore her" he continued
" that's nice though, now let's drop that topic it makes me lose my appetite especially after what I saw, it's disgusting," Val said sticking her tongue out making her disgusted face, we laughed but I understand what she feels I can't imagine witnessing such scene
We finished our meal after some time and we went back to the cafe. We opened at exactly 1 pm. the cafe got packed at 3:00, we got loads of tip
It was getting late I checked the wall clock it was already 6:00 we'll close the cafe at 10:00
I saw Jake coming to the counter with an unreadable expression
" Hey Vlaire can you entertain the girls on the far left side near the bookshelf please," he said, I chuckled
"Another fangirl problem?" Valorie asked while chuckling. Jake nodded, pouting
"This explains your expression a while ago," I said laughing
" hey stop laughing. Can you please check them for me" he said pouting and begging me as his life depends on it.
Valorie chuckled " now, now where's the guy who said 'Nah I'm used to it. plus who can resist a guy like me' Valorie asked rising her right eyebrow, then chuckled
Well in his defense he is good-looking if I didn't know him I would have mistaken him for a famous artist.
He's gorgeous, no even gorgeous was an understatement, no wonder girls always visit the cafe just to see him, which is good for the cafe
If I'm the cafe owner I could have made him a cafe model, Jake's a famous YouTuber, and every fan knows he works here since he once made a video vlog on where he works as a cafe barista and all about this cafe. I know what a stupid move for him who wants to avoid crazy fangirls, but oh well we got more customers because of him.
Jake pouted. I chuckled " fine I will, " I said. I placed my tray on the rack and took my notepad and pen putting them in my jean pocket
"Be careful Vlaire you know how his other fans are, I'll take care of his other fans on the counter," Valorie said tapping my back. I nodded
I went towards the girl near the bookshelf one of them was wearing a Burgundy laced long sleeve crop top

A blonde girl was wearing a black cropped top leather jacket, a see-through black shirt paired with denim pants, and high cut leather shoes.
The brown-haired girl was wearing an off-shoulder jacket paired with a denim skirt with brown high cut shoes.
" What can I get you guys?" I said smiling kindly, they looked at me the blonde girl looked at me rising her right eyebrows while the black-haired girl was looking at me up and down.
" Do you guys need anything?" I asked
The girl scoffed. " We don't want you we want jake, and who do you think you are?" the brown-haired girl said raising one of her eyebrows. I'm at a loss for words
" I'm sorry but Jake's preoccupied," I said kindly. The girl scoffed again
" didn't you heard my friend?!" She said raising her voice
" We don't need you, we need jake. Call him this instant!" she continued raising her voice at me. I was shocked I didn't expect them to be this mean
"I'm sorry... But I can't, I told you he's" I was cut off when the blonde splashed me the water from the pitcher, I was soaking wet the water was really cold I was shaking in the coldness since its winter plus the low air condition
"Vlaire What happen?" Jake said in an angry and worried tone. I shook my head " it's fine, I'm fine" I said assuring him. Jake's jaw clenched, his hand's tightened " Jake I told you it's fine" I said calming him but I don't think he'll be calming any second
He looked at the girls especially the blonde-haired girl who's still holding the pitcher she seemed shocked when she saw Jake " Jake it's okay " I whispered holding his shoulders he relaxed a bit
Then I heard someone scoff it was the black-haired girl " tsk such a slut acting like a victim now to get Jake's attention now are we?" She said.
Shoot this is not good. Jake tense clenching his jaw, his fist tightened
" You take that back! the slut here are you guys! Not Vlaire" Jake raised his voice completely losing his patience
" If any of you guys bullied or hurt my friends ever again I swear. You guys don't want that to happen" he continues. The girls were shocked by Jakes outburst they're in bursts of tears
Valorie came rushing towards us even Valorie was shocked, who wouldn't? Jake is not the type of guy who'll lose his patient easily but if he did, well these things happen
Valorie bowed to the girls saying sorry and leading them towards the door they finally went out, Val tapped Jake's shoulder " you can loosen up now" Val said, " come on let's go to the locker room, shall we?" She said taking me and Jake to the room
She let me sat on the couch while Jake sat on the chair Valorie took a towel from her locker wrapping it around me
" You okay Vlaire?" Val asked worriedly " I nodded " What happened there? She asked I told her and Jake the whole thing
Val sighed "They're not nice," Val said, " Are you sure they didn't do anything else?" Jake said still furious. I nodded
" Jake you know something might have gone wrong if you didn't control your emotion back there," Val said
" it could have been worse, you know," she said
" But I understand, if I was in your place I would have done something worse" she paused " thanks for helping Vlaire tapping Jake's shoulder smiling him thankfully, and hugging him.
Valorie went to her locker and took something out, a brown turtle neck and aped skinny jeans " good thing I brought a clothes" she paused ent up to me.
" here you can wear this," she said, good thing we're the same size, plus we always use each other's clothes, so it's pretty much normal.
" Uhm... I better go back, there must be some costumers out there, Sophie needs help" he said scratching his neck, which he does when he's shy, a light crimson rushed through his cheeks, Valorie laughed
" yeah you should be, Vlaire's gonna change her clothes" I can feel my cheeks burning, Jake looked at me scratching his nape again, waving at me, my face turns to dark crimson.
Val looked at me chuckling " off you go" Val said pushing Jake towards the door " ill be out once Vlaire's done. well catch up" Valorie said, closing the door once Jake was out of the room
"I can sense some little crush here," Val said chuckling
" do you like Jake?" Val said in a whisper like tone to make sure Jake cant here what she said,
I shook my head Val laughed " You sure? you know you can't lie to me, plus I can tell. Especially when you blush and all" she said laughing my face heated up because of embarrassment
" Now tell me do you like him," she asked " fine, maybe a little," I said " a little? You sure?" she asked " fine maybe I do like him," I said blushing " maybe? Why maybe?" she said teasingly
" Val!" I whined " You know why, plus you already know, can we stop?" I said blushing, I can hear Valorie chuckled " yeah fine, and don't worry I won't tell him, I mean maybe," she said teasingly, I pouted, Val laughed " I'm joking, I won't tell him, don't worry," she said assuring me
" now let's go, Jake and Sophie must need help"
After that girl talk, we went out and went back to the counter. The cafe was indeed packed, different kinds of people were there, some laughing at each other's comments.
some just chilling out i was looking around when i saw a guy, sitting on the cozy couch near the window and in front of him was a small coffee table, he was looking outside the window
outside he can see the street, ablazed with lights and the busy streets of the city. while drinking some hot coffee. I cant lie he was drop dead attractive he placed his cup of coffee in the table and looked at me noticing someone was watching him I quickly looked away, embarrassed, for I was caught.
