Light purple and orange colored sunlight light up Drumbea Town. Birds chirp and the cold breeze from the night still around to refresh and embrace those who need wake up early. The traffic and stressed life from metropolis appear to be only fairy tails to scary kids at night for Drumbea inhabitants.
If ask one of them to choose the most peaceful and serene place in Drumbea, seven between ten would chose one of the town parks. Trees, fountains, small animals and community exercise apparatus fill the scenario in those places.
Some prefer the Central park for it beauty, and other would chose a smaller parks near their homes by it convenience. Drumbea have less than a hundred thousand residents but she is in facto a old town, some public place in more peripheral areas don't have the attention that they need anymore.
In one of Drumbea's Peripheral Park a bird is scratching the ground. After ten minutes looking around, it founded the leftover of a half eaten fruit with three larvae on it, truly a banquet for this fellow. Now it don't need to worry about food anymore he happily comes near his lunch. Splash!. Out of nowhere a monster crushed his mourning meal.
The birdie in rampage run in the monster direction to obtain his revenge. Usually it wouldn't do this, but this monster in particular isn't breathing well, with a red face and walk fun, seems to dying so he may have his chance.
"Sho! Sho! Leave alone you stupid bird! What i did to you?", said the monster waving his arms around his head.
This monster was a human girl, for her what the bird called a fun walk was the best run that she could do. Realizing the bird determination, she stopped running and went down a near tree and lay down. Many factors led her to make this decision besides the bird. Her chest was going up and down in a fast rhythm, the soles of the feet are burning inside her shoes, it's not just shortness of breath in fact her lung is aching, from times to time she felt a pain sting in her heart. The girl thought. "Shit! I am dying, i can't breath. So I will pass away in this way? I always thought that I would die after my one hundred years... and my first billion"
This girl is Korvaurora training after she decided put her reality at test, by defeating Martre. She knew very well that she is worlds apart of his level of power, but she can't let this put her down. What based her decision to try defeat him with her own hands and don't external power, besides she not like depend on others, is that she had three advantages over Martre.
First Korvaurora had a lot in stakes, this will make her determination greater than Martre or any other pawn that she could try manipulate. If she do a vomit blood like training, she may match a protagonist level in capacity. But this isn't certain. A protagonist in many cases can learn tens, and in extreme cases hundred times, faster than a normal person like her, what would turn her extra determination in nothing.
And in this is when comes her other advantage, Martre didn't know that he is her target. Korvaurora can use this on her favor and develop counters to Martre abilities and after 3 years of training use everything at once, taking him by surprise on The Ace tournament.
But her biggest advantage is that if she is right, what she don't wanna be. She knew how a story works and can use to her advantage, none besides her can do this. Knowing what she must do, she started as soon as possible her training.
Last night Korvaurora did a research in how became strong, she read many articles of strong people speaking about their way to power and she saw some theorical knowledge too. Many what she learned is common knowledge that she already knew, however never really payed attention, it wasn't relevant in her future plans, but now everything changed.
Number one that she learned, you can know how to fight, but without the materials to use it means nothing. So she must train her body before learn any complex thing.
Number two, mana, everything depends on mana. A mage need have a good control of the mana in their body system. A fighter need to train his body to absorb mana to inside his cells turning mana in prana.
How train her mana system and prana had many complex manuals that she will read later at school or at night. She need to do something right now, like running, every day lost is a waste.
Number three, If you gonna use spells or body technics in your fighting style, depends only on you. If you chose to fight hand to hand, nothing besides your will and orientation of your training, perhaps a bit of talent, prevents you from learn how cast a spell on a battle. Actually is normal to everyone who fights professionally have a foot in both battle stiles, and what really is distinct in every one who does is which style he developed the most.
Korvaurora chose a way that she already is good, that is magic. Learn the theory and try to apply in a magic circle, she find it fascinating. But never did much of it, because she was always with something less exhaustive to do, like play a game or watch a serie.
Against her initial will she is running and doing physical training. Besides the need to know at least a bit of fight with her body. In her search many specialist in magic recommend have a good cardio to have more mana in her own system, yet she still don't understand how cardio will help her, if she just need to decimate her enemy with a big fire ball.
But Korvaurora will follow the recommendations, she believes in the knowledge of a specialist more than her unfounded assumptions. Soo today she wake up 5 am to run in a square, if she had to run, she will run will do it until she faint. However seeing in a movie and doing it yourself are different things, even with her mind set on running, her body don't wanna listen to it.
She is running in a old square, Korvaurora had one more closer to her house, but she don't like people near her so she opted by a more empty square. Not that before six am would have a lot of people on any square. However for Korvaurora, the less information about her abilities comes to Martre ears the better, she don't wanna risk lose any advantages over him.
"I can't stop here. It's too soon to give up", thought Korvaurora.
She support her body with her hands and used the tree as a support to stand up too. All of Korvaurora legs muscles already are having difficult to move, but she forced it. She thinks that if she stops is because of her mind had give up, and her mind isn't a muscle to be hurt, so don't make any sense it became tired, she just doesn't have enough willpower.
"I still can do it. For Algera! it hurts!", thought Korvaurora.
After the first ten minutes can't be said that she is running anymore, was more like a fast walk. But now she was just pushing her body weight forward, and her body fells like it carries a imaginary bag full of bricks.
For Korvaurora, her bad luck did not have ending, as she have another problem bothering her. She wasn't alone in the square.
"Hey kiddo go back for your bed, you can't run anymore", said a male old voice.
"John don't bothers her, the girl is doing this because she wants, you need to respect her choice... Even if it's idiot.", said other elderly voice
"Ok, Ok. but I need to tell you something... Truco!", said the first voice hitting the table.
Four old people are in a communitarian table designed to play strategic board games, but they found a new use to it and are playing card games. One them is partially a pain in Korvaurora ass, she try to concentrate and don't just fell on the ground to rest but he continually comments about 'what she is doing wrong'.
"Why those geezer are a this time of the morning playing? Stop bothering me oldman... !", thought Korvaurora.
A strong pain spread in Korvaurora's right leg, she stop running and sited in a corner of the running track. Not is inflamed or out of place so she assumes that it's cramp, "Probably this is a signal to stop... now I can train spellcasting".
After five minutes her right leg recovered enough to Korvaurora be able of walk again. She got in a part of the square with targets made to be hit by spells positioning herself ten meters from one of them she started her spell, they are created using magic resistant materials.
Magic is the practice of using your mind to control mana. All complex life forms have a system to circulate mana in their body besides their sanguinis or lymphatic system, their internal mana is many times easier to control than external mana, but is more taxing using because unlike the atmosphere the quantity, in a body the quantity is very limited.
Cast a spell solve many problems of the natural way of using magic, that is using your mana directly to cause an effect. Because when casting a spell you control your mana to outside your body and use it to channel and transform outside mana without it being filtered by your body. By using specific theories to get build your magic circle to transform mana the you can do thing that with a small quantity of mana would be impossible, like use the Bay's formula to transform mana in fire and use a method good in control plasma to turn it in a throwable ball.
Korvaurora knew many spells, but usable in a battle only one. Pointing her hand forward she concentrated to channel a part of her mana in it, she felt like warm water is leaking by her hand poros. When a good quantity is outside, she apply out what her mother taught her and constructed the magic circle that she made many times before, doing it took five seconds. Slowly a blue ball appears in front of her circle. It is a mana construct, the simplest form of transform mana in something touchable, because you don't transform the mana in any specific material.
Korvaurora aim to the middle of the target and put more mana in her spell, after the quantity of mana passed on a certain level, the ball is shooted. The ball cut the air and made the sound of a punch when it hits the target, the only problem was that it hits the wrong target.
Looking her results Korvaurora put a hand on the chin and murmured, "I used 9 seconds and not even landed it in the right target. I have a lot of training to do... hmm... Oh! not agai...".
She felting a familiar feeling of numbness, that she felt for the first time only two days ago, spreading in her mind Korvaurora tried to keep her conscience. However after two seconds her vision became all black and Korvaurora's body falls heavy on the grass like a sack of potatoes.
