Bounty Hunters: People who hunt down and capture dangerous criminals. Sounds like a pretty risky profession, right? Well, you would be correct. However, there are hundreds of thousands of bounty hunters capturing criminals to protect the planet...or to make a quick buck. Why are there so many, you ask? Well one person had the incredible idea to make...a school of bounty hunters. Weird, right? What kind of person would join this school? Actually, hundreds of them and I'm one of them. My name is Zakari Blackwell, and it's my goal to be the world's greatest bounty hunter.
Abandoned City
There was a city, empty and silent. There was seemingly no one here. If you had a pin and you dropped it, the sound would echo for miles. It was completely void of life...until today, that is.
Suddenly, sounds of gunshots rang across the entire city. There were at least ten gunshots, with each one sounding like the roar of cannonfire.
Then, two boys were running and jumping across buildings. They were shooting at each other with what seems to be airsoft pistols, and they were dodging and maneuvering around each other's bullets with such incredible ease, even the bullets that were only a foot away from their targets missed them completely.
One of these boys had pale skin, and hair with the color of autumn leaves. His eyes were the color of the rising sun. He was wearing a brown blazer, a white t-shirt, black jeans, and orange sneakers. The most notable feature about him was his large, energetic, and optimistic smile.
However, his opponent almost seemed to look like his polar opposite. He had fairly dark skin, and his hair and eyes were almost vantablack in color. He was wearing a black denim jacket, a grey t-shirt, black jeans, and vantablack sneakers. He also had a cold and lifeless stare on his face.
The orange haired boy chuckles and smiles at his adversary, as he began firing at him with his airsoft pistol. But the black haired boy caught each bullet with ease and simply fired back at his orange haired opponent, who maneuvered around each one with the grace of a falcon.
Then, the both of them began running up to the top of a skyscraper, still shooting at each other and dodging each others' bullets. To a normal human, they would seem to be nothing but blurs.
In what seemed to be about one tenth of a second, they made it to the top of the skyscraper, both of them about 20 feet away from each other. Then, there was nothing but pure silence as both of the boys stared at each other, the orange haired one with a smile on his face and the black haired one looking as indifferent as before. The orange haired boy had his pistol aimed at the black haired boy, who continued standing still and staring at his opponent.
Then, the orange haired boy fires at his opponent. However, before the bullet could even leave the barrel...the black haired boy was right in front of the orange haired one, who was left in surprise.
"Whoa!" The orange haired boy shouted, before avoiding an uppercut from his black haired opponent. As he did this, he went to kick the black haired boy in the side of the head, the he dodges it and retaliates by punching at the orange haired boy. The orange haired boy dodges the punch and fires at the black haired boy who dodges each bullet and backflips away from the orange haired boy.
They began to trade blows with each other. To the human eye, it looks like they were punching and kicking at each other about a thousand times in a second, with each colliding fist or kick sounding like explosions. This went on for about a minute, before both boys jumped back and began firing at each other again, with the bullets either being dodged or ricocheting away from hitting another bullet.
Then, suddenly...the gunfire stopped. Both were pulling the trigger repeatedly, but their guns didn't do anything. The guns were empty.
"Ah, dang it-" Then, a bullet hits the orange haired boy gently on the forehead. He looks at his black haired opponent, who was the one who flicked the bullet at his head.
Then, a whistle was heard, catching both of the boys' attention. A black haired man with blue eyes, who was also wearing business attire appeared.
"Nice work, Russell and Zakari. I see you've both been improving your combat skills." The man said to them.
"Thank you, Mr. Walker." The orange haired boy smiles, while the black haired one still kept his emotionless stare.
"Come back to where the other students are, you too." The man said this as he disappears. The two boys walk to an exit outside of the city.
There, about a dozen other students were waiting for them. The students were mostly talking to each other while others were prepared for their turn. One of these students in particular was a girl with tan skin, long black hair, and purple eyes. She was wearing a purple vest, a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and black combat boots.
"Hey, Alexia! Good luck on your turn!" Russell said to the girl with an optimistic tone. The girl simply scoffed and waited for the teacher to call out her name.
Russell and Zakari waited with other students who were also finished with their training.
"Man, it's always so fun training! Do you like to train, Zakari?" Russell asked him. However, Zakari didn't even say a word. He simply stood there.
Marcus raised his eyebrow up in curiosity. "Why are you always-"
"Alexia Salazar and Leon Schuster. It's your turn." The teacher said. A tall boy with white hair and red eyes, wearing a black leather jacket, a white t-shirt, black jeans, and blast boots began walking towards the city, along with Alexia.
As soon as they reached the entrance of the city, both of them were on different sides of the city. They glared at each other for what seemed to be for a day. Then, the teacher blew his whistle and their training began. If you were a normal person, you wouldn't even be able to see the afterimages. In fact, many of the students only saw blurs, while the other had a clear view of what was happening. Thousands of kicks and punches were colliding and being dodged in a mere millisecond. The power of the blows were so strong, the shockwaves from their blows only felt like the wind of a category two tornado.
"Wow! This is incredible! Go, Alexia! Go, Leon!", Russell shouted with glee. However, Zakari stood quiet as he watched Alexia and Leon's every movement. Then, Leon pulls out a airsoft rifle and begins firing at Alexia, who dodges each bullet with ease. Then she charges at Leon head-on and deliver a powerful kick to his jaw. He was sent flying into a stone wall, which collapses on top of him as a result.
Then, everything was silent again. Alexia glares at the rubble and get into a defensive stance, getting ready for her opponent to get up. Then, Leon lets out a loud yell of rage as he bursts straight through the rubble as if it was paper.
"Enough of this!" Leon shouted at Alexia, before charging at her and preparing to deliver a powerful blow. Even though Alexia managed to block the attack with her arm, she was still sent flying into a car, which now had a large dent due to the force of the collision.
Alexia groans in annoyance as she sees Leon charging at her again. Deciding to end this quickly, she sidesteps the punch and grabs his arm, before lifting over her shoulder and tossing him to the ground with a loud thud.
Before Leon gets the chance to stand up again, Alexia already has her gun pointed at his head. Before either of them could do anything else, Mr. Walker blows the whistle, signifying the end of their training.
"Good work, you two. You still need to work on your temper, Leon." Mr. Walker said to them as Leon scoffed. "Now, it should be time for lunch, so let's go back to the school grounds." Everyone nodded as they walked away from the city. Leon got up and dusted himself off before following the rest of the students.
