As a divine being, even within a mortal body, I was not allowed to openly intervene with the world around me. One way to get around this setback was to attach myself to a group of mortals with large destinies. The group I was with would already have overwhelming potential, my help would not matter too much in the scheme of things. As long as I didn interfere too much, that is.
The group I chose to join was the one with the teenage boy whose destiny resembled that of Hajime Nagumo or Naofumi Iwatani and his cousin whose destiny vaguely reminded me of Raphtalia or Hak the lightning beast. Also part of the group was a small child whose destiny was so uncertain as to be virtually nonexistent. People like that were rare, people with no destinies. Contrary to popular belief, heroes who go against destiny or fate rarely actually do anything that they weren't fated for. They were fated to be heroes and villains who did this or that so they were and they did. The child was a blank slate, someone without a destiny. Depending on how she lives, she can even change the fates of other people around her. She doesn't technically exist according to destiny and so people around her have their destinies changed in present time to account for her influence on them.
A protagonist, a loyal companion, a goddess, and one who manipulates the tapestry called fate, that was our party. I couldn't wait to see what we get up to on this isekai adventure!
