(The Mc try's to find out who put a hit out on him but he meets a Dead end. He then finds a secret room in the academy)
"Pay attention Sorin, this is advanced stuff here," nagged ms.Larrington.
I snapped out of my stupor and tried to summon my familiar, it was the last thing on the list of things to master after regeneration which was essentially just moving mana to wounded areas.
"Something's happening, don't stop!," yelled Ms.Larrington.
Suddenly the shadows in the training field all came together and a panther with a golden crown atop his head and red eyes...
XXX rank
Shadow Panther King| Moves through the shadows at a speed that rivals that of light, is a panther clad in shadows, it can use dark energy type attacks.
"Oi who are you? Your not Hellion!," scolded the panther.
"I'm sorin," I replied.
The beast sniffed the air then walked around me several times, it was easily the size of a whole horse carriage.
"You must be his son mate, I'm zastiff," indicated the beast.
"You knew my father?," I asked suddenly.
"Knew him, we fought in battle until the very end!," roared Zastiff.
"Do you acknowledge him as your master?," asked Ms.Larrington.
"Very well, the contract is forged, it would be an honor to serve the son of the "Storm Prince," urged Zastiff.
With that Zastiff absorbed into my shadow and I saw a glint of his piercing red eyes before he closed them.
"Now we should move on to perfecting a new lightning nature move for you, your potential has yet to be tapped there...wait a minute did he just call you the Storm princes son?," asked Ms.Larrington.
"You know of him?," I asked.
"He was King aves older brother," exclaimed Ms.Larrington.
"Ohh, could you keep this a secret?," I asked urgently.
"I suppose kid," she sighed.
"Thanks," I said relieved.
"Now lets go, your lightning nature is impressive but still way too slow to catch me," boasted Ms.Larrington.
"Lightning- ," I started...
Lightning Arrows|
The mana I had infused into my palm began to transform into Lightning nature energy that shaped itself into small arrows.
"I got it!," I shouted.
"Now let's see what it can do, Fire it off at the woods over there," whispered Ms.Larrington.
I did as she instructed and it was like an X rank mana bomb exploding over and over again as the arrows hit the forest and turned half of it into a barren wasteland where some creatures lay wounded and bewildered as to what just happened
"Maybe keep that as a last resort kid," she grinned.
"Now you just need something to complement it," said and.Larrington.
"What do you mean?," I asked.
"In battle its not all about who's more powerful, it's about strategy, tactics, and power. Using two attacks as a combination will make each of them stronger if you do it right!," she lectured.
"Ohhhh," I acknowledged.
"Lightning nature energy is best used with water nature energy. So you just need a water nature type spell on the same level as your lightning arrows," she began.
"How about a hurricane?," I asked.
"That could work, it requires wind and nature energy but since you have all four base natures it's possible. But using three natures in combination is hard. That particular combo was known as the Storm style, created by your father," stated Ms.Larrington.
"Then it should be no problem," I insisted.
After my tenth try I managed to summon a tornado and then infuse it with water nature energy creating a hurricane but when I tryed to use Lightning arrows immediately after the first spell collapsed...
"I told you it wouldn't be easy, your dismissed for today kid," she said.
"Status," I whispered.

I had grown a lot once again through the one on one training with the assistant headmaster who had just recently gained triple X rank through a plateau breakthrough in a dungeon raid.
"Hmm," I went as I thought of my next move and remembered the night before when Obdan told me that Dark nova the underground crime guild had ties with the molten assassin.
"Zastiff," I called.
Suddenly my shadow hardened and broke apart from its usual place to form a panther the size of a small carriage.
"I need to go to the bad side of town," I commanded.
"Very well, hop on," he answered.
We jumped into shadow after shadow until we finally arrived in the Factory district where the heart of the underground was and I got off and absorbed Zastiff back into my shadow. I saw nothing but factories and mini apartments and alleyways dabbled in between.
"Where would I go if I needed info...," I pondered as I propped up my black hood on my school robes.
I went in every pub and stood in the shadows listening in on the conversations until I had a general understanding of how things worked. The molten assassin was the right hand man of the head of Dark nova Esperanto the Greedy.
"Hey you, what are you doing in here, are you old enough to be in s bar?," asked a worker.
"I'll have one cup of ale," I said sliding over a silver coin that I had taken out of my students savings account.
I ended up leaving after finding no info on the molten assassins whereabouts, but I did learn that Esperanto lived in the only mansion in the district amid all the apartments. It was rumored that the guy was Transcendent rank so I didn't want to take him lightly so I left for the day to go back home to sort out my intel.
"Are you sure they said Esperanto is his boss?," asked Obdan.
"This is bad, that guy has a lot of connections on top of being really strong. If he wants someone dead they usually end up dead," feared Nald.
"Things have changed, I can no longer be apart of this!," said Obdan.
"What-," said Nald.
"You shouldn't be either," he warned us.
"Let's just go to bed," I said as I saw the sun setting behind mount Zandros.
I awoke in the middle of night to an owl hooting at me through the window as if we were old friends.
I got out of bed and wandered to the commons area where I got some water to drink. There I noticed the moonlight hitting the clock making it shine eerily. I had never noticed it before but this clock was one minute off.
"Hmm, welp I can take care of that," I began but as I moved the hands of the clock the wall opened up. I saw a spiral staircase that led down to what seemed forever...
"Might as well," I murmured.
As I descended I noticed that torches began to light themselves whenever I walked by, the entrance soon closed up after I had went in deep enough. Soon I began to smell smoke, at the bottom I saw none other than a dragon!
"Sorin stay back," snarled Zastiff while baring his fangs at the sleeping dragon whose nose was letting off light flames and heavy smoke. He seemed to be guarding a podium with something on it.
"I advise you not to go any farther boy," boomed the dragon as it curled it's tail around the podium where a shiny triangle like pink stone sat.
"I don't what we walked into but we need to get out of here and reassess our lives, that's a whole dragon," I babbled.
"I could take him," urged Zastiff.
"No that's okay," I commanded sternly.
