Chapter 3 - The Annoying Bully

With bated breath, Alisa slowly turned her gaze only to see Tina standing behind her.

"You..."

"Yeah..., it's me. Why wearing that look?" she questioned but Alisa glanced at her not ready to answer her questions. "Okay, okay anyway, I want to thank you for helping me the other time."

"Welcome.." she replied and without waiting for even a second, shuffled away.

"She is so weird." she glanced at her as she hurried out of the hallway.

Due to Alisa's introverted nature, she wasn't all that good at interacting with people so she had no friends and that wasn't a thing for her.

"That scared the hell out of me," she grumbled to herself mentally as she descended the stairs in front of the school's main entrance.

At that instant, she caught a glance of Nick and his gang with girls drooling all over them.

Not only was Nick the bad guy and bully of the school but also every girl's dream boyfriend. Alisa tried to escape from the scene but unfortunately for her, Nick spotted her.

"Oh shit..." she turned back, taking to her heels.

"Alisa..., Alisa..., Alisa..." He made his way through the group of girls, racing after her but she kept running as far as her legs could carry her.

Alisa knew very well what this action would cause her but the only thought running through her mind was to escape from him.

"Hey..., hey..." he exclaimed but Alisa was far gone. He instinctively came to a stop, panting out of breath as he slightly bent, holding his knees.

"Stupid nerd." he exuded, returning to her friends.

Alisa making sure that she was not being followed came to a stop in front of the library as some passing students glanced quizzically at her.

She ignored their gaze, shoving her bag well over her shoulders as she checked her wristwatch Noticing that it was almost time for her second lesson, she growled.

"That jerk.."

She hurried off, taking the route to her science class. Fortunately for her, she got there to find the class empty. She sighed in relief, sauntering over to her seat.

When she had settled down, she took out her textbook and buried herself in it. 5mins on, she heard footsteps and voices of students filling in the classroom but she paid no attention to them.

"Settle down everyone..." the voice of the teacher made her lookup. "How many people submitted their assignments?"

"Assignments...?" the students murmured among themselves, the entire atmosphere in the class thrown into rumpus.

"What assignments are you talking about sir..?" one of the students asked. "We just returned from the summer holidays."

"I left a research assignment on the student's page a week before resumption, didn't any of you notice?" he queried, quite surprised.

The students unaware of this piece of information rummaged through their bags, picking up their phones and Alisa was no different. They scrolled through their page and to their surprise, the assignment was there.

"Sorry sir, we didn't see that. We will submit it tomorrow." the class prefect pleaded.

"Alright, I will be expecting them on my table next thing tomorrow morning. Lateness will amount to a loss of marks."

"Okay, Mr. Hayford..." they chorused.

"Alright, let's go on with today's lesson." He went to the board.

Alisa replaced her phone in her bag. Turning to the board, something caught her attention outside the window on the football court.

Her eyes flew wide open as a flash of surprise rushed on her face.
