Vante's P.O.V
I was on my way to my home when I suddenly spotted Kyle getting out of a café and looking quite crossed. He was wearing a mask but I recognized his car since he always used to pick Serena up in it. He quickly got inside the car, slammed the door, and drove past me. I was a bit curious so I stood there for a bit longer and then a lady came out too smiling and looking in the direction he drove away. I was a bit suspicious but I jerked my thoughts away and continued walking but then I saw her walking towards my direction. I was a bit nervous as to why she was walking towards me. I remained calm and continued walking and she walked past me. I sighed in relief and turned to look at where she was going and my eyes widened a bit when I saw her going towards the building Serena was training in. I was now more skeptical. Why is she going there? But what if she also wants to learn ballet? Stupid me, always assuming things. I smacked my head lightly and walked towards my apartment.
Third person's P.O.V
She entered the building and asked the receptionist about Serena Kyle. The receptionist informed her that she was in the middle of a performance and she won't be free till 8. She insisted on meeting her saying that she was her very dear friend and she had to tell her something really important. The receptionist gave her a suspicious and annoyed look but then picked up the landline and asked someone to send Serena to the waiting room. The person behind the phone told her something and she nodded her head. "Serena will be here in 15 minutes. You might have to wait." The receptionist informed her. "Sure, I will wait." She went to the waiting area and sat on one of the benches. She knew it would be hard convincing Serena of the story she would tell her but she knew she can't lose. Fifteen minutes passed and suddenly the door to the waiting room opened and Serena popped her head inside. Maria stood up and gave her a sweet smile which Serena returned. "Oh, Rei! Is everything alright? Why did you call me so urgently?" She went to hug her and saw that she was crying. "Oh my God! Why are you crying? Did Henry say something to you?" She gently stroked her arm to comfort her. Maria shook her head and started weeping more. Serena was now getting more tensed. "Your husband is not what he seems to be." She was sniffing and sobbing. "What do you mean? What did he do?" Serena wasn't ready to hear the next statement. "He said he would help me get my mother's job back and I asked him today to meet me at the café which he did but instead he took advantage of my vulnerability and hugged me without my consent. I don't like it when people hug or touch me without my consent." She was sobbing continuously and was now hiccupping. Serena was baffled, she lost her breath for a mere second. She felt like the ceiling has come down crashing on her. She didn't believe her more like she didn't want to believe her but she knew. Why would Rei even lie to her? "Why would he do that?" This is the only thing she could utter. "I don't know. Maybe he just wants to be around women. You should keep an eye on him." She warned her and then exited the room leaving a broken Serena standing and crying as she couldn't think of anything right now. She wanted to talk to a person about this and that person was none other than Vante since he was a sensible man and knew things about men more than her. So, she texted him.
"Meet me at 8 at the training institute."
She also texted Kyle that she would come home by herself as she had plans with her friends. Gladly, he didn't ask her any questions. She didn't want to talk to him.
Time skip~ (at the cafeteria)
"What happened Serena?" Vante asked her while stuffing some fries inside his mouth. "Vante, I guess Kyle is cheating on me." It hurt her to say this but she managed to say it. "Why are you saying this? What happened?" He was now in a complete state of shock. Serena told him everything but he remained silent. "What happened? Why are you so quiet?" She was getting worried now. "She might be telling the truth because I did saw him getting out of a café and saw a lady following him outside." he kept his head low and purposely omitted the part where he saw Kyle's anger. But he didn't tell her and he knew he would regret it. But he just can't control his feelings anymore. Even if he would be doomed and cursed he wanted to be with her. He wanted him gone from her life. And this incident made him a bit optimistic. He just needs to make her more skeptical of Kyle and boom! She'll come running into his arms. A part of him wanted to tell her the truth. Love demands sacrifice Vante his conscience condemned but he jerked it off and saw her beautiful face which was now looking like a dead flower. "I'm so sorry Serena. I wished it wasn't true but I did saw them together and I guess you should confront Kyle about this matter." He was pretending to be sad for her. "It's ok. I guess I might talk to him or maybe leave it as it is. I don't want to face him. At least not now." She gave him a sad smile and stood up to leave. "Thanks. You opened my eyes and unfolded this blindfold. I was praying for it to be false but you now confirmed it. I feel sad for Rei now." She knew that she and Henry weren't together anymore as Henry secretly told her about their breakup. Why are men like this? She sighed and waved him goodbye. She needs to be more careful about Kyle. How could he betray her like this?
Next day~
"And a 1,2,3..."
I heard my teacher's soft voice instructing us to repeat her steps. We copied her step while I tried to keep up my balance, but I know it wouldn't last long. I landed on my butt with a great thud earning giggles and aw's. My teacher shook her head and sighed. This is the 10th time I have fallen and the grand performance was just a month away. "Serena, are you okay darling? You don't seem like you're ready for class today." My teacher said with genuine concern in her voice. "I-I don't know madam. I feel nauseous and sick." She frowned and helped me get to a bench. "Maybe you should go home. We'll continue it tomorrow okay? I'll teach you in an extra class." I managed to smile at her weakly and struggled to get up. "Thank you, madam. Goodbye!" She smiled at me and I managed to get towards the exit of the building. Good thing, that my classroom was on the ground floor. I texted Kyle, still recovering from the stinging pain that the incident gave me.
"Can you pick me up? I'm not feeling so well."
He replied a minute later and his reply made my heart sink.
"In a meeting. Won't be able to come. Sending the driver to take u to the hospital."
I just sent him an 'ok' and tried to contain my tears. He doesn't care about me anymore. Wow, that was so quick. I was now getting sicker at the thought of how he would love talk to me and give me random kisses when I was reading a book or doing something. Why Kyle? Why did you change like that? A voice got my attention and I saw our family driver standing there. He gently asked me to accompany him towards the car and with a heavy heart, I followed him towards the car.
Third person's P.O.V
She was in her room thinking that her plan worked even better than she expected. She didn't even need to show the pictures to persuade Serena. Now she was waiting for the news she desired to hear. The news of their divorce and she finally getting in Kyle's life and owning his wealth forever. She knew it would be hard but she knew all the tactics to get him on his knees for her. She smiled victoriously and looked at the pictures placed on the nightstand.
