today I want to talk about dreams.
like does everyone have different dreams or do people also have the exact same dreams, and I mean to the moment they start to the moment they wake up; like a story that has all parts are they same for some people? I've been thinking about this for a while but how effective can you make it for yourself to dream as well. like can deprive yourself from sleep and then forcefully make yourself sleep and have a dream or is it random? I'm currently testing the theory of not sleeping passively because I dont sleep much in general, proof of that is the time I usually start writing these.
although I say I am testing this theory I technically already did that in middle school, let me explain... in middle school my average sleepytime was about ~5-30 minutes. school would start at 7:30am but our mother would wake us up 1 hour early to get ready for school, so 6:30am. I would maybe sleep at 6am or I would think, "at least a little bit of sleep." and would sleep like 5 minutes. in doing so it would seem that dreams dont come out if you force them.
another theory I have is that is your mood affects the effectivenes of having dreams. for example if your in a good mood maybe you will have a good dream, or bad mood will affect a good dream and turn bad or it will be a bad dream from the start.
I started suspecting this theory because I once had a good night by gazing at the moon, it got me in a good mood because the moon was beautiful. that night I had a good dream of me just laying in my bed hearing some soft and chill music, naturally it o ly lasted a few seconds in my mind but actually lasted a few hours in reality. then after thinking about that dream I suddenly got the idea that maybe feeling influence how you sleep and maybe you dream... all a theory though.
now I talk about my most recent dream, it wasnt pleasant. recently most of my dreams have one thing in common: death. in most of my dreams that I have been having I have been influenced by the thought of death. although my most recent was more tame compared to the others. my most recent dream was of me in a state of sleep deprivation, my whole body paralyzed, unable to move while still conscious. funny thing is this is a reoccurring dream, I dreamt about myself having sleep paralysis while I was having sleep paralysis in reality. i realize the reason i get sleep paralysis is because of my lack of sleep... but my body just doesn't know when to give up being awake.
alright now we speed run my other dreams. starting with the reoccurring dream is sleep paralysis, we already went over that. the next one I have is a bit weird, it's a dream of me killing my parents, dark dream I know. I dont influence my dreams because none of these dreams are lucid (I'll talk about lucid dreaming after). alright onto the next one, being impaled by wooden spears into my stomach are while I am laughing maniacally. honestly that one was pretty fun in my dream because in my dream the people impaling the wooden spears into me were muttering the words, "why won't he die." over and over again, although most of these dreams do not last long they still are long lasting you know what I mean? alright onto the best one, a bit weird, I was dreaming I was in a labyrinth running from people like chuckie, slenderman, etc. just a bunch of people from like storys involving like people dying and stuff. once caught by them you will be mercilessly killed without fail each time, this dream lasted longer. alright onto the next one, isolation. let me explain sitting in a corner of the room no lights pitch black you cant see anything, your grabbing your head forcefully, pulling at your face causing bruises. screaming as loud as you can for no one to hear, the pinnacle of insanity. murmering to yourself your own faults and wrongdoings only for a door to open in front of you, "light." you walk in the door behind you closes, a new form of isolation where you can see yourself. mirrors on all sides insanity to its fullest. you bang your head against the mirror for it not break and only end up injuring yourself in the process. another door opens leading into a normal room. furnished floor a ceiling with a rope hanging, a noose. your given a choice, take the rope and hang yourself and end the madness, oh the joy it will all end... or wait for the next door to open if their is any 'next door.' and that ends my dreams, last one has the most detail because it was a pretty big dream for me, most of my dreams dont even last that long. also if that dream is put into practice in the real world do you think people will choose the noose? although time and food was not specified I speculate at least ~1-3 weeks without food and sunlight can easily change the way a person thinks, also I think in the white room is about maybe ~3 days to ~1-2 weeks, I'm not sure. then you can give them 1 week on the noose, or however long. however thinking about it logically I dont think that's enough time to make someone insane so I'm thinking maybe at least the full thing should take place in about 6 months time, about half a year. mostly because people dont go insane so easily, it takes time and patience to do something like that, almost like brainwashing, you have to influence the way they think and feel towards certain things to get the best result.
alright now that that is over i also thought about lucid dreams, if this was true then cant this really help do certain things like for example people say that in lucid dreams as long as you think hard enough you can do certain things, right? so then cant they try to imagine a world where everything goes well or a future where everything is bad. but this is not going to work because of the person's view on what is considered good or bad, let's say subject 1 thinks a world without illness is good, now let's say subject 2 thinks a world without rules and laws is good; which one I'd good? these types of things aren't easy to do with lucid dreams so I thought of something else recently, what about changing the world in your lucid dream so that it's never ending, if possible. although I dont know how this will be possible, because on some places I read one would wake up from their dream after taking injury. so a world without injury, but that doesn't save you from the outside world trying to force you to wake so this won't really be effective. then I also started reading isekai type manga cause I got bored and thought, if you can do this in a lucid dream cant you also try to find out how it's possible and try to use in the real world. but that would also prove to be useless because of how different a lot of isekai type manga are, some of them get their power by simply invoking words. others have the power granted to them without trying. others work towards that magic but it's never understood the true basics of magic because people who make isekai manga also dont know the basics of such things. so trying to find out the foundation of something like magic is hard, sure they say feel the warmth and the outside... you do that wveryday with body heat and getting colds, having sore throught, fevers, etc. pretty much what I'm trying to say lucid dreams are pretty useless, the only use they have is to realise a dream that you really want; to be rich, to be famous, etc. although most dreams will be subjective to the person dreaming because you will want fame a certain way you 'desire.' if you do realize the dream into reality it will probably most likely be completely different to how you dreamed it.
in other words dreams are pretty interesting. although not common once you start to grow older they are nonetheless, interesting things that occur naturally.
I'm no philosopher but god damn I went in, did not expect this.
Also I have a question, do you want me to do more formal writing so it's easier to read or nah? I dont mind either because I do this for fun. I got bored and decided to start doing this so ye.
