when ken was enjoying the sea breeze on the deck of a luxurious ship which was on its way to North Korea, maniac informed him of the second monthly random item . after listening to the simple description of the item , the small otaku blood inside ken ignited and his face flushed red with extreme excitement .
it was understandable as the random item just had to be a time chamber which reminded ken of goku from dragon ball anime . ken didnt watch many different anime due to the lack of time in his past life nor the present one but dragon ball was one of the most memorable ones for him . ken didnt waste any time and opened the small black box inside the room inside his mind palace .
this time just a white cube that fit exactly inside his right palm flew out . ken touched it and the information about the time chamber poured instantly inside his mind . the description said that the time flow inside the chamber would change permanently with the increase in his cultivation level . the time flow would change by 3 times everytime ken advanced a major realm in cultivation .
ken went inside his room inside the ship and opened a space crack . he casually went inside and arrived in his small and comfortable home . he placed the cube on the floor near the fluffy sofa and tapped on the single button that was visible on its surface lightly according to the instructions inside his memory . all of a sudden white smoke generated and a small door just enough for one person to enter appeared out of thin air .
ken didnt think about this magical performance and just opened the door exited to step inside and see the interior of the time chamber . ken wasn't disappointed as he had a child like grin on his face after confirming that the interior was no different than inside his memory .
the entrance was a small living room with a bathroom attached to it . there was a small cupboard , book shelf and a table there and a door which connected to the other room . ke dashed and opened the door excitedly and was stunned after seeing the scenery inside .
there was a huge dome which was pure white there and ken couldn't see the end to its diameter despite his superb eyesight after reaching such a high cultivation level . ken imagined a small forest inside his mind and it instantly the whole dome transformed into a forest with animals and trees that didnt look any different from reality . ken was truly impressed and sat under a tree while looking here and there with a grin on his face .
after calming himself down , ken paid attention to the clock that appeared about 30 cm distance from his eyes . he shoved a hand into it and it passed through it . ken was glad that everything was according to the memories about time chamber inside his mind . he looked at the time displayed on the clock and noticed that 2 days and 22 hours were remaining till the time chamber returned to the cube form again and ken would be ejected from it .then ken started his cultivation session after munching on some pills purchased from the system shop .

days have passed and ken could be seen on a barren grey land sitting crossleged with his eyes closed . but just above him grey or black clouds were gathering and sounds of thunder were heard violently repeatedly. ken was now ready for the heavenly tribulation and chose the moon as the venue .
after enjoying the benefits of the time chamber for the first time , ken changed his daily schedule. he chose to roam the world for 2 days without cultivating freely and decided that he would cultivate a whole day inside the time chamber which would mean 3 days worth of cultivation inside . it meant fast and steady pace of cultivation for ken .
the cube which contained the time chamber needed spirit ki stones to function continuously for more than 3 days so ken could only continously cultivate for 3 days there . ken wasn't bothered though as he didnt need to cultivate that much now and he could use the time chamber continuously for as many days as he wanted after he reached the higher plane and could use spirit stones as much as he wanted for cultivation .
ken visited many countries starting from North Korea and lastly india during his journey while checkin the progress of his business group on the way . he was satisfied with the steady progress which even transcended his imagination by a lot .
ken found some old ruins of caves or sects which belonged to cultivators of earth in the past and were swept away in the waves of time . the oldest sect ruins even reached to more than 3000 years in the past .ken didnt search the ruins as he couldn't care less about any old artifacts or anything there . he could purchase anything from system anyway or make his own . ken didn't approach the other cultivators on earth deliberately but was still disappointed as he didnt get to meet anyone on his travels . ken met many spirit entities of different religions and countries and was amazed as the sheer number was over a thousand . he exterminated various ghosts or resentful spirits on his travels that enjoyed slaughtering other spirits or interfering with human society .
one thing pleased ken that the spirit beings were United all over the world so the spirit cultivation manual that he had gifted to little loli was passed down to many honest spirits .it even caused war between honest spirits and evil spirits like vampires and resentful spirits which ken solved by eliminating all the evil ones swiftly . this journey changed the world view of ken drastically which was already changing slowly after his first meeting with loli inuarashi .
there were many rapid breakthroughs in research of medicine, technology ,mathematics etc and ken was happy that the clues on various subjects that he left with his trusted employees were helpful to them . ken feared that they would show greed so he deliberately didnt leave much knowledge that he recieved after purchasing so many skills from the system . greed would change their honest personalities and ken didnt want to see that . it would not be long when many improvements happen in more fields so ken was satisfied with the progress .
ken didnt notice but after becoming powerful cultivator and getting used to helping normal people in the shadows , he had changed a lot . now these human interactions were getting less important in his eyes as he got stronger . that's why he finished his trip in just 28 days and didnt interact with normal humans much . well he couldn't be blamed as he was now focused more on ascending to a higher plane and just helped them on the way because he coincidently had the power to do that . if he couldn't obtain all that knowledge from system , he wouldn't have tried to help them so much .
when ken was ready , the clouds had finished assembling and the first lighting bolt was getting ready to shot down producing threatening sounds . ken took a deep breath and converted his ki into lighting ki effortlessly as he had tried it many times while preparing for this heavenly tribulation . but one could see drops of sweat on Ken's forehead even though he had a calm face . it was understandable that he felt fear because this experience was the hell mode and nerve wracking for him .
there will be a total of 9 lighting bolts that target ken till the heavenly tribulation ends and the next lightning would be double stronger than the first . other cultivators would struggle in pain as their flesh would be baptized forcefully and the shock their souls would receive but this was not the case for ken . his body and soul would be baptized and become much stronger than before but the process would not be forcefull or painful as he would benefit way more than other cultivators after absorbing the huge energy in the heavenly tribulation completely.
the first bolt came down at lightening speed and hit ken straight . ken didnt recieved any damage as one could see that the lightning was wrapped around his body and was the energy was being absorbed quickly . ken finished absorbing the energy in a second and his fear went away completely after he confirmed the increase in his cultivation . ken didnt provoke the heavens deliberately like the arrogant protagonists of novels as he had a mild personality and disliked arrogant people but ken was feeling truly exhilarating inwardly after the success . 5 seconds later the second bolt finished charging and shot down at double speed from before but again the energy was absorbed by ken automatically at much faster speed than before .
the frightening lighting continued to descend for 6 more times with interval of 5 seconds between each bolt and each bolt had double the energy of the previous one . ken just sat like a statue with a peaceful smile on his face sound nothing and the energy was absorbed automatically each time by him .
the last bolt took much longer charging the energy as 20 seconds had passed and it didnt descend . it started changing from light blue to dark red colour and looked much more menacing but Ken's expression didnt change even though he felt the energy inside the lightning closest to the cloud . in fact ken had had already discarded the tribulation from his mind and was discussing about the higher planes with maniac inside his mind .
after 30 seconds passed , the red lightning bolt that contained more than 10 times the energy of the 8 th one descended and hit ken .Ken's body devoured the energy frantically and it was absorbed in a second despite the 10 times increase in the force .
the clouds vanished abruptly after confirming the survival of men and a pale yellow light descended instead of the frightening lightening. ken still didnt open his eyes and focused his mental energy on assimilating the powerful energy to stabilize his increased cultivation which ken couldn't measure how much increased in such a short time . the yellow light enveloped ken gently and his body started to float in the air automatically and started ascending into the hole in the sky.
the process of ascending was slow and when 2 minutes passed, ken had reached half the distance till the hole which seemed to be the entrance to the higher plane . then ken suddenly opened both his eyes and was smiling after confirming that his foundation had stabilized completely . ken looked upwards at the hole in the sky without any trace of fear but excitement inside his heart. he wanted to consult maniac about the increase in his cultivation level before reaching the higher plane to only find a message that said that maniac will go through a small system update for 5 minutes .
ken pouted like a child at this discovery but didnt bother thinking more about it as it was useless and he just looked forward to what the system would have in store for him after it finishes updating . 2 minutes passed and Ken's figure vanished in the dark hole and it started closing . after one more minute passed it closed completely as if it didn't appear at all. meanwhile everything went blank for ken after he was just some 100 or so meters from the entrance ....
