The next couple of weeks had went by in a blur. Before my mother died, she had been saving money for me so I could go to college. Not that I even wanted to go but she said i might change my mind. I ended up going to court so i could get emancipated, i didn't want to be put into a foster home full of people with fake smiles acting like they love me. Plus I got money from my mother and sister for life insurance so I was good for a long time. After getting emancipated I moved to California to start my brand new life over.
After a few hours I finally pulled up to my apartment. Home? No, I don't think so, not yet anyways. Maybe one day this place will be home but I really haven't had a home since I was little. Walking up to the front door, I pull out my keys and unlock it. I don't walk in yet though. It takes me a minute because I'm so nervous. Why? I have no idea. I mean, some people would be completely happy that they live on there own, I on the other hand, wish I didn't.
The apartment has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, nice size just in case I have company... Doubtful but one can hope right? Not really, I plan on keeping to myself the rest of the year, especially at school. Attention has never really been my thing, though others disagree considering the amount of trouble my attitude gets me in at school. It wasn't even my fault most of the time, i just don't tolerate people giving me an attitude. Like if your gonna get mad at me because I gave you an attitude, then don't start it?! Lord baby jesus...
Anyways, I already had the movers put my boxes in because they arrived a couple of hours before I did. They better not have taken anything or u swear to baby jesus I'll kill them. I don't really have much except the bare necessities and some extra things that were my mother's and sister's.
Around my neck is my sisters necklace that she never took off. Its a small blue butterfly with a silver chain that is almost a choker. She got it for her birthday when she turned 12. Originally I was gonna have a custom made one, but I didn't have the money for it so I had to buy this one for her. Let's just say she wore it so much I got my money's worth. She told me she was never gonna take it off and that it was the most important thing she ever owned.
Today is monday... meaning I start my new school tomorrow. YAY!!! Note the sarcasm... School has never really been my thing. I mean, as much as I skip classes you would think I was failing but that's quite the opposite. I have always been an all A student. One year I had a B in my class, it didn't go over well with me. I was in my room studying nonstop for weeks until I got the grade back up. Other than skipping classes, I used to get in a lot of fights with people. Generally guys but once in a while it would be a girl. But, that's the old me that had a fucked up life. Now I'm gonna change. Granted I still have a fucked up life but I want that to change.
The rest of my night was just me unpacking my bedroom so I could get some rest before school. It didn't take hardly any time to do so I was extremely happy when I got to lay down.
This morning I woke up to my alarm at 4 AM. Generally in the mornings I go to the gym before school, but since I'm in a new town I decided to do it at home for right now. Hopping out of bed I plugged in my earphones and started doing my thing. After about 2 hours of working out I stop and take a much needed shower.
Going to a new school made me want to look and feel good so I decided to wear my favorite color. Black. No I'm kidding, its red.
I decided to wear a red dragon pattern crop top, black ripped skinny Jean's, black and red shoes, and my signature black leather jacket. For my hair I just left it naturally wavy, and no makeup. Makeup was never my thing.
By the time I got done getting ready and packing my bag, it was 7:00. School starts at 7:30, so I need to get going so I'm not late.
After about 10 minutes of riding I finally arrivd at my new school. Kellogg Highschool. On the outside it was absolutely gorgeous with trees and flowers covering it. If it wasnt kept up, it would look like a jungle as it grew out. After parking my motorcycle towards the front I hop off and I can feel a million pair of eyes on me watching my every move. They must not get new students that often.
To add a little bit of a dramatic effect, I take my helmet off slowly and shake my hair out as it falls against my back. Feeling all of these eyes on me makes me feel a little uncomfortable, but I can't let it bug me. I'll be getting stares all day so i should get used to it. After stalling for a few minutes i start to make my way to the front doors but am stopped by a tall redhead grabbing my shoulder lightly. It took all of my power for me to not grab her hand and break it, but I didn't need to get suspended from school on the first day.
"Hi! My name is Jade Williamson . You must be new here?" Her voice is like butter, I have no doubt in my mind that she can sing.
"Um... hi? I'm Willow. Yeah, I'm new." She seems like a sweet girl so I decide to not be rude to her. Looking at her, I take a minute to admire her beauty. Her hair is red and comes to her shoulders, making her green eyes pop out. She has a lot of freckles that I can only assume she has all over her body.
"Would you like me to show you around? The school is kind of big so I don't want you to get lost." She says.
"Sure. That would be really nice if you don't mind." I say.
Walking into the building I feel like I'm underdressed or something. This school is so fancy, FOR NO REASON! Like, why in the hell would you have a chandelier looking thingy in the common area...
After a little bit of walking we find our way inside the front office.
"Good morning! Is there something I can help you lovely ladies with?" The lady at the front desk asks.
"I am Willow Flynn. The new girl?"
"Oh okay. Last me find your schedule. Here you are love. Have an amazing first day!" She dismisses us after handing me my schedule.
Once Jade and I walk out of the office we stop and take a look at my schedule for the first semester.
English
Art
Lunch
Free period
Free period
So you are probably wondering why I don't have a schedule full of classes. My entire school career I was exceptionally smart and always excelled in everything I did. I would have graduated last year but I had issues with English so they had me retake the class, then I just chose art as my elective because it will be easy.
"Sadly we don't have any classes together except for last block we both have a free period. But at lunch I'll come get you and you can sit with me and my friends. And I'll walk you to your second block, I'll be outside the door waiting." Jade explained.
"Sure that'd be cool." I said back. We stood there for a few moments talking until we heard that damn bell signaling first block.
Walking into my first block I was instantly the center of attention. Ignoring all the stares, I walked up to the teachers desk and handed him my schedule.
"Good morning Ms... Flynn! Would you like to tell the class your name and tell us something about you?" He asked while looking at me intently. Like hell I'm going to tell the class a damn thing.
"No I'm good." I said and looked around for a empty seat. People started to whisper amongst themselves saying things like 'she's hot' or 'does she have a death wish!' And a few people gasped.
"Watch the attitude Ms. Flynn or that'll earn you a detention. Go take a seat next to... Owen. Owen raise your hand."
I start to look around the classroom for the kid named Owen, When I finally spot him raising his hand lazily off the table. Wow. Lazy much? I slowly make my way to the seat next to him without sparing him another glance. Though I must say, he was hot. But unfortunately I'm not looking for a 'relationship' especially with the 'badboy'.
The rest of the class period I spent with my face in my textbook doing what I was supposed to. I can already tell I'm going to hate this class with a passion.
'Riiiiiiing'
The bell that signaled the end of class made me jump slightly and I could feel a pair of eyes burning holes in the back of my head. When I turn around to see who is staring at me I'm met with piercing blue eyes that captivate me. I can't let him see that though, so I break eye contact and grab my things and walk out to find Jade.
As promised she is right outside my classroom door waiting for me. She doesn't have the same next block but she didn't want me to get lost on my way so she took me there.
After dropping me off at my art class Jade takes off to her own class. Luckily I found a seat in the back of the classroom and the teacher didn't ask me to share with the class which I was eternally grateful for.
Art is one of my favorite things ever, drawing, painting, sculpting, you name it, I'll do it. In this class I sit next to a boy named Kevin, I think... Anyways he's really nice and polite. Once again after class i meet up with Jade and we walk towards the cafeteria for lunch.
Jade opens the door for me and once I walk in, all eyes are on me. Not surprising. I mean, look at me. I have a tattoo on my neck, which is the only visible tattoo right now, and I wear a leather jacket and drive a motorcycle. I'm a 'badgirl'. Not that I choose that. I just dress the way I want to dress, everything I wear is comfy.
"WHAT THE FUCK ARE Y'ALL LOOKING AT!?" I snapped. At once they all snapped their gazes away from me and pack to whatever they were doing. I can't stand it when people stare like that, its rude and disrespectful. At this point I'm livid and just want to sit and eat.
"Come on, I see my friends." Jade said while walking to one of the middle tables. This school seems to be just like any other school with all of their cliques and things. The tables in the middle are obviously for the popular people and the 'badboys' and 'badgirls'. Which is where I assume I'm following Jade to.
I didn't even realise we were at the table until Jade spoke to the group.
"Guys, this is Willow Flynn. The new girl." She said to the group then looked to me. "Willow. This is Lily and Stephan, who are dating, this is Conner, my boyfriend, and then we have Asher, who isn't really in our group but he comes and visits."
The four people sitting at this table are literal walking sex gods. HOW THE FUCK ARE THEY SO HOT! Lily is about my height, so short, with a blonde pixie cut with red highlights, brown eyes and tons of freckles on her face. Her boyfriend Stephan looks twice her height, has short brown hair that is spiked in the front, brown eyes, and tattoos covering both his arms from what I can see. Jade's boyfriend, Conner, looks tall as well, has dark red curly hair, green eyes, some freckles, and has tattoos on his neck and arms. Finally I arrive at Asher. He has short brown hair, hazel eyes, a scar that goes across his eyebrow, and also has tattoos on his arms and neck.
"Are those the only tattoos you have?" Asher asks me. I'm kind of wishing I wore a hoodie instead of my leather jacket so people couldn't really see my tattoo. I wanted as little attention as possible. I was going to lie and say I didn't have anymore but decided against it.
"No, I have more." I vaguely explained. I'm not going to show them all my tattoos, if I was on the street doing something, they would know it was me.
During lunch the group kept asking questions about where I came from, or what my parents do, or where do I live, except Asher. He just kept on staring intently at me. I was about to yell at him when the bell ring signaling 3rd block, which I had no classes the rest of the day so I decided I wanted to leave.
Walking out of the lunchroom and down the hall I hear my name being called but when I turn to look, I don't see anyone. I turn back around and kept walking but end up bumping into a brick wall. The impact made me stumble back a little but not enough to knock me down. When I look up, I see those captivating blue eyes staring at me again. Damn, it wasn't a wall...
"How the fuck did you not fall?!" He growls at me. Behind him are two more walking sex gods staring at me with pure shock.
"Obviously you didn't bump into me hard enough. Duh!" Why the fuck would I fall... cuz I'm a girl???? That sexist bitch.
He opens his mouth, but before he can speak, I walk out side and head towards my motorcycle. He's an idiot if he thinks I don't know he's watching me. I can feel his eyes burning holes in my head, little asshole.
Pulling my helmet over my head I hop on and ride off. In my rear view mirror I can see Owen standing where I was parked with his jaw on the floor. Guess he never saw a girl ride a motorcycle before.
After riding around the town I decided to go home, change and head to the gym that I found while I was out. When I get home I change into a sports bra and some leggings and head out to the gym on my motorcycle.
Walking in the doors of the gym I'm met with the familiar smell of blood sweat and tears. I also notice the lack of women here but I don't let that bug me. The gym I went to before I moved was mainly men so I wasn't intimidated by them. I don't want to waste anymore time so I stretch for a minute and proceed to start my work out.
A few hours go by and I decide I want a change of pace so I move to the punching bag in the corner and punch. It didn't take me long until I broke the bag. I always ended up breaking a bag or two, even if my hands were messed up from fighting. I never stopped going. I've been here a total of 7 hours already.
All of a sudden someone starts to clap really slow behind me. When I turned around I saw the last person I wanted to see.
Owen Hayes
