Chapter 25 - Pick your poison

"Let's get her up, this takes priority over the base," Malcom said as he gestured for a familiar face to come over. "Yes sir," greeted Ashik. "I want you to take Chris and show him the mission room, if it's still standing. I don't need him getting bored and poking around," Malcom demanded.

"Sir, permission to tag along with the boy," Ashik asked. "I guess you misunderstood Ashik. Your on baby sitting duties in Carol's place, Don't let him out of your sight," Malcom responded as he turned and waved over two more talent holders, one wearing a green coat and the other wearing a pink armor vest.

"You heard the commander, let's get moving big guns," Ashik said as he turned and started leading me back to the elevator.

"What is the mission room," I asked in confusion. "Ok big guns listen, the mission room is place where us talent holders earn our reputation, it's bounty board room where we earn rank by picking what missions suit the talents we possess. Now, you follow," Ashik explained.

Once the elevator doors opened i was amazed once again, hundreds of bright coats and armored soldiers scattered around looking at white boards and tables. I could see sheets of paper in every section and there was a line in the middle of the room leading to a desk where you were supposed to take the paper you selected for authorization. Ashik led me to a table near the middle and waved his hand over the papers. "Pick which one you can handle on your own," he said this with a smile that excited me.

As I looked over the table I saw only two pages Militia head quarters and anat syndicate base.

" These seem a bit much don't they," I asked Ashik in a concerned tone.

"You are strong don't let the names scare you this is easiest bounty board here," he said with another smile. "Then I choose the anat base, I've heard that name before somewhere I'm sure of it," I responded.

Ashik grabbed the page and went straight to the front of the line slamming the paper on the table. " This one for my strong friend over there," he exclaimed loudly. The officer at the desk stamped the paper with approval and wished us good luck on our mission. Once we got the approval stamp we headed to the elevator once more. "This is final ride, we go straight to mission now," Ashik said as he opened a flasked he had tucked in his vest. Now for the hard part.
