Like I said we took a different path that day, we went left instead of right and it changed our lives forever.
That morning was the first week of summer, the first week of freedom. Or so we thought, our parents had other ideas, they wanted us to stay in the house and garden all summer, no freedom whatsoever. It started with me making Lucy soar like and eagle, using the rickety swing set we kept in our shared garden. Like every summer, our town shop was due to stock our favourite drink any day now, we were desperate for the ice on our lips but it took a lot of convincing for our parents to let us walk there on our own. We were given one condition, I was in charge. I was responsible for everyone and I let them all down.
We began our adventure, Lucy clinging to my hand and Daniels grasper around olivia's. only five minutes into our journey did we meet the crossroads. I know, such a a cliche, they meet a crows roads and take the ominous and clearly wrong path, so everything goes wrong from there? Well this story isn't like that, well I guess it's partly like that, but besides the point, I'll continue. We reach the cross roads, we always turn right as it's the quickest way to get there, but I was aware of a route which involved turning left, I suggested it and with a chance of extended freedom hanging above them, they all jumped at the chance. So we turned and the downhill spiral began.
