'I wonder what he's doing right now...' she questioned herself.
Xiao Jane fell asleep on her comfy bed. Song Lin did the same.
In the Penthouse---
Mo Fengshi was lying on the couch of the living room. For a second he wondered if his life even had meaning in it or not, and then there goes the kiss he received so unexpectedly.
It was of no doubt that he had brought Xiao Jane home to seduce her and make her fall for him. But then, he himself got slipped in the process.
'I never thought it would go this way....but why I'm even not regretting it!'
He sat up and raffled his moist magma mercuric hair lashes back with his fine fingers. The rain started to lower down but there was no sign of sun or a clear sky. A translucent blanket of clouds were everywhere, including his thoughts.
'I will bear everything...., until I get you Xiao Jane! Our marriage is inevitable because I have decided it! And if you try to run away, it's my promise, I will find you even under another universe.'
He stretched his hands and went upstairs to his room. He felt the need to take a quick warm shower. His body was still stirred by the current of touch of Xiao Jane.
'I don't know why but it seems wrong! But when it comes to Xiao Jane, nothing's right nor wrong!'
He pulled out his shirt and saw himself in the big mirror placed in his room. He knew what Xiao Jane was going through when she was seeing that body, through the thin and bare cover of his shirt that was quite insufficient to hide the perfect built and chiseled abs.
Then his gaze fell upon his neck, there was very thin scratches of nails engraved by a wild tigress in ecstasy. He touched those marks, a sudden dull pain he felt, causing him to moan lightly.
He laughed at himself, for when her nails were making it's way to his neck, deeper and deeper, leaving intense marks.....he didn't act at that time. Rather he felt pleasure in that pain.
He went into the shower and smelled a familiar fragrance he encountered a little ago.
'Its her! I can feel her presence in this air!'
He remembered when she was standing there before leaving him, avoiding his gaze, blushing from the fact that she's become his girlfriend.
He was satisfied that his idea of seducing her worked out, much better than he had expected, but his heart didn't want her to leave.
He wanted to stop her, to yell out to her when she ran towards the car, that it's not over yet and she can't leave now, but nor sweetness neither rage helped his words to be heard. After all he had to let her go.
That's why when she left, he couldn't help but to see her at front, running after he heard the sound of the car engine. His eyes were capturing the sight of her car which disappeared soon. Although he said all those words, but he wished he could have stopped at with any kind of excuse.
'What's wrong with me! It's for her to feel like that, not me! I want her to love me!'
He turned the shower on and let himself get soaked in the warmth of the shower washing out his regrets and complaints. His body was getting relaxed with every drop encountering it.

"If love is a madness, may I never find sanity again! You are my today and all of my tomorrows...My heart belongs to you Xiao Jane! It's all yours!" the sweet gentle voice of the man intrigued Xiao Jane.
But her heart ached as she replied, "No! I don't want your heart! Just stay away from me! My heart has had enough because of you, I won't fall for it again!" she yelled and tried to run away from him.
"But you said you loved me! You said you can never love anyone else! What about your promise to be with me until your last breath! Have you forgotten about it all!" the voice Xiao Jane never wanted to hear ever again, was constantly pestering her for answers.
"Oh! You ask for my promise but what about yours when you left me all broken and shattered.....I cried and yelled again and again, but not once you turned back to see me! You literally cheated on me! Just go away!" her breath was wavering up and down in anger when that voice again ghosted her,
"And what about today, when you cheated on me Xiao Jane!" he asked smiling painfully at her.
"What are you talking about? There wasn't a day I spent thinking of someone else at all, all I ever had in my mind was you ,You and YOU!"
She broke into tears. The sight was blur but the voice was clear and she knew who it belongs to.
"Didn't you kissed the lips which weren't mine?" his words were rough and no more love can be felt in that voice.
Xiao Jane was startled, when she remembered the thing happened between her and Mo Fengshi, inside his penthouse.
Her eyes got filled with tears and her body started to tremble in guilt and fear. She wanted that voice to stop asking her any more questions but now when he's mute, she can't find words to explain herself.
"It doesn't matter as we are not together! So you have no right to tell me what I should do or what not! I have MOVED ON!" She gasped for air as her chest felt heavy and pressed.
"Don't lie to yourself. You still love me Xiao Jane! Yet you cheated on me! I know that your heart still skips a beat when you see me or hear my name and that you're feeling guilty for your actions and....."
"STOP! JUST SHUT UP! I DON'T WANT TO LISTEN TO YOUR CRAP! GO AWAY ALREADY! GO!!!"
Song Lin jumped out of her bed when she heard Xiao Jane yelling terribly while clenching her fist so hard on the poor pillow pressed against her chest. She again yelled, "JUST SHUT UP" and started to cry.
Song Lin felt a familiar ache in her heart seeing her bestie in this condition. Usually when they were little, whenever Xiao Jane talked in her dreams, Song Lin always laughed on her and her maniacal words.
But she never had cried even in her darkest nightmares but now, she is crying. So hard that her eyes seemed heavy as if it will burst out soon. Or had she always cried when she was alone, even in states. Song Lin blamed herself for not being there when she was fighting alone with her heart break.
She woke her up, "Jane Jane! Wake up girl! It's a dream....just a dream..., whatever you are seeing. Open your eyes! Look at me....I.. I'm just beside you!" her words were soothing and heavenly.
'Did someone said it's a dream? Was it Lin Lin? She says to open my eyes...I... I'm opening my eyes.... it's a dream... yes...I can feel it!'
When Xiao Jane's eyes flickered, Song Lin hugged her tightly. She poured a glass of water and passed it to her, "This will do Ah Jane. Wake up!"
Xiao Jane gained her consciousness and realised that nothing she saw was real. She took the glass and emptied it in one go.
"Feeling better?.... Well what was that? You were crying girl!" she asked, her own voice almost teared up.
"Nothing serious...just some inevitable experiences of my life came back to haunt me in my dreams..... I'm good!" her tone was soulless and hollow, making Song Lin even more worried.
She understood that Xiao Jane had had enough in 24 years of her life. For real. And to think her past is haunting her, she wants to rip apart that fragment which tried to hurt her, make her cry in her sleep.
"I'm sorry little Jane.....I wasn't there when you needed me the most. Even now that you are going to get married for company's sake, I'm bounded and can't do anything..... please forgive me..." tears dwelled up in her eyes.
"Why are you crying silly....you did your best. If not for you, I would have never been able to stand on my own after worst phase of my life. Even now, you stand beside me, console me, if not for you Lin Lin...." she couldn't say more.
Both of them hugged each other. Song Lin sweared on their friendship that she would never let Xiao Jane get hurt like this.
"Is it him? The guy you were dreaming about..."
Xiao Jane nodded her head in despair. Song Lin boiled with anger. If she had known that guy was going to leave suddenly, she would have dragged him by his collar and make him pay for wasting Xiao Jane's time and feelings.
'If I ever get my hands on that jerk! I swear he's gone from this world!' she clenched her teeth.
Xiao Jane looked at her bestie and shook her arms, insinuating her to sleep.
