"But how did you even manage to get his name and come back home, tell me everything in detail."
Xiao Jane was glaring in shock at Song Lin as her eyes narrowed in suspicion. Song Lin tried to tell her pitiful journey from restaurant to home and to the car to her, but got interrupted by a light snicker.
"Till then I will definitely miss you!? Oh God hahaha!"
'Is she mocking me? Jane Jane, girl, I swear to kick you-' and her thoughts offended by the evolved snicker that was a big laughter.
"Hahahaha.....Oh my gosh Lin you, that guy...haha ahahanhaha!" Xiao Jane was laughing so hard that it got to nerves of Song Lin.
She pinched her forearm and giggled out her tongue.
"Ouchh! Hey!!" Xiao Jane winced in little pain but was still laughing.
"Manage to find me beautiful lady, I'm Zhang Wei and I miss you already hahahah!!!"
"Guess what....you still hasn't learned your lesson.....want another!" Song Lin smiled grimly and raised her short yet sharp nails towards Xiao Jane.
Song Lin never liked long nails. But she knew that those nails are the god-gifted weapon. Provided especially for girls to grow and scratch troublesome faces of messing jerks.
Such a need lead her to sharpen her nails as well. Xiao Jane, never in her rarest nightmares, thought that she would get threatened by those tiger claws, forgetting the part that she had been pinched by her a lot, back in old days.
"Is that a threat I am receiving?" she asked, mocking her.
"It's called an eye for an eye, little Miss Xiao Jane!" and she flashed her sparkling pearly white teeth to her. Xiao Jane reacted with a face, clearly saying, 'You're Unbelievable!'
"But you have to tell me the details when we go inside the home, okay!" this time she made it kinda presentable.
"I'm sure you won't laugh again or I will kick you out of the same window, so that my bestie, you can feel the same back sprain I'm dealing with!" and both of them laughed together.
At front of the Stars Residence---
The gate was wide opened. The battle ground was clear. No traces of enemy servants nor the leader residents. They parked the car outside of main gate and reached front door.
Both of them removed their footwears, grabbed their wet clothes and tiptoed to their first checkpoint, the living room sofa. Now they have to reach dining area before their final checkpoint.
Carefully avoiding any possible noise they could create, both of them made it to the dining table. Song Lin felt like she was in middle of some escape room video game. The concept is just to avoid dangers and claim the checkpoints.
Kitchen seemed empty too. Assumption got made. No one is in the house at that time.
Still Xiao Jane's mind wasn't accepting that Mother and Father couldn't be at home as it was quarter past two. But Song Lin put her guard down as soon as she assumed that no one was home at that moment.
Xiao Jane carefully climbed the upstairs but Song Lin was still standing there in amusement. Xiao Jane whispered in rage, "Are you crazy....just climb upstairs before you get caught!"
"But no one's at home you silly!" she said, not in whisper but in house alarming voice.
'There she is....gone crazy again!' Xiao Jane tried to insinuate her into coming back but she didn't listen.
"Don't worry, there's no ghost living in Stars Residence. It's just Us!" she started climbing the stairs.
'Great! you're right here! Ghosts can't live here peacefully until you're here. They cannot afford to get their brains exploded by your chattering!'
The view downside was still clear. Xiao Jane couldn't believe that nothing happened.
Song Lin was stepping up but her pace got slowed. She started dancing with the stair rods.
Xiao Jane thought that she must be overthinking. She left Song Lin on her own and ran out of the sight, inside her bedroom.
"See! I told you no one-"
"Lin Lin! What are you doing on the stairs?"
The surprised voice of Mother Cheng ranged in her ears. Her invisible little body hairs stood up on their respective positions when fear ran down her spine.
Xiao Jane heard the same but she blessed her 'all time aware' mind for not getting crazy like Song Lin. She hurriedly ran inside the room and closed the door.
Song Lin turned right to face Mother Cheng's curious yet suspicious face.
"Ohh Mother I was...I was going there -" even her words betrayed her in the middle when her mind gave up to create any possible excuse.
"You are wet and you're also....." she stopped but Song Lin was clearly aware as her eyes flickered towards her barely covered body.
'Why me? Wahhh! I have to think real quick!'
"Umm Mother...it happened..that Jane Jane and I ....we...We .....got splashed by ....by a car...black car.... passing through the... entrance..of the restaurant....Yeah! We both got wet and dirty...see my hands!"
She proudly presented her softly muddied hands and pants.
"What a tragedy! Is Ah Jane upstairs?" she asked in concern as she moved forward towards her.
"Yeah! yeah! she got it pretty bad too! Not as much as me of course!" her last words were light and wasn't clear.
"Oh poor babies! Let's go to your room! I'll arrange clothes for you!" she dragged her along and opened the door.
'I'm wishing girl..... that you must stay in his shirt for a bit more ....and then we will get the real fun!' her devilish mind laughed in her head thinking about the situation Jane Jane would be in, if she get caught.
But to her dismay, Xiao Jane had already made her way to the shower and clearly placed that shirt somewhere out of their sight.
'Clever foxy!'
Moving inside, Song Lin tried to justify, "Mother we will be fine! Ah Jane's in shower...and I'm too, going to change pretty quick after her!" she assured.
"Oh....get changed into some warm dry clothes. Make sure not to catch cold. Then I'll go and prepare hot chocolates for you both. Make sure to wear warm clothes and rest my children..... My poor daughters!" she caressed her wetty head and left the room.

Xiao Jane left the shower and saw poker faced Song Lin, who greeted her with 'I got rescued' smile.
Xiao Jane was about to laugh at her when Song Lin stepped forward and said, "Want me to give you a pretty tight hug girl!" she winked as she opened her hands wide to capture her prey.
"Don't you dare!" she tried to escape from her.
"So my neat and hygiene freak girl! You won't offend me again will you?" her hands still opened, containing mud.
"It's enough for today, now go and get wash your dumb brain....I mean mechanical skilled brain haha!" she still took the chance to mock her again.
She ran towards her but missed her by chance and her right toenail struck the side table.
"Ahhh you little Jane! Wait until I come back from the shower!" she whinned and entered the bathroom.
"Say what.....The man sitting with me at the restaurant was Zhang Wei! And I guess you've already smelled the rat!" she spoke her last words before entering the warm shower.
"So it was indeed him. What's his deal though?"
It's been 10 days since she came home from states, but a lot had happened already. She got involved in a marriage of convience, came to know about her father's condition and the company, managed to get her first kiss and now two big business tycoons are involved in their life by chance.
'Not to mention that we were the only four people on that entire dining floor.....'
Suspicions on her head were getting stronger, but she wanted to take some rest.
Xiao Jane, still standing, lost in those thoughts, bumped her head in the cornered wall.
