Waiting for the arrival of Song Lin, it has been two hours since Xiao Jane is sitting in the waiting room at the railway platform, and still there was no hints of her presence in the atmosphere.
"If only she would easily accept the fact that she's never once arrived on time" she sighed, remembering the days they spent together all those years.
It was an old habit of Song Lin to give thousands of cooked up excuses to hide her faults. Her clumsiness bounds no limits. Xiao Jane was better well behaved but, she too, was way far from not being clumsy. They were like two peas in a pod, Jane being a more mature pea!
It's not the first time for Xiao Jane to wait for her bestie, as she had cultivated the habit to bear her excuses as well as tantrums.
"After all, it's been 10 years since high school. And the eve of the bestest thing ever happened to me! That I got such a friend like her!"
Lin and Jane were the most popular yin and yang friend couples at the time of their high school in their hometown. And today's meeting is going to be really special. They were meeting after 2 years. Since Jane was staying overseas and Lin decided to stay and work in the native country.
Lin had always been so protective and kind to Xiao Jane and Jane also loved her more than anyone in the past few years. They might be far from each other, but the distance never mattered.
Today is the day when they became friends in high school past ten years ago.Although they have known each other since childhood, all cuz of friendship between their parents, but only at high school they became inseparable besties.
As they both turned 24 this year, their lives were pretty much occupied with work and stress. Achieving their own financial independence at the age of 24 is certainly appreciable.
'Working Women', they say them.
"Oh God! It's her idea to meet at the hometown and celebrate our friendversary. Still there's no figure I can recognize as hers!"
Loud noises could be heard as the place was crowdy today than any other days. Who would have thought that the almighty princess of Song Enterprises would take the public train in order to deceive her Boss that it was an emergency.
"May be today is something important for others like it's for Me and Lin Lin." Even this meeting would be no less than an emergency.
At the corner, there were shops of local newspapers, handmade crafts, stalls with local street foods. Public stations are always busy. Not to mention the scribbles on the public walls and pillars.
"Ew.....Lovers have the capacity to convert public places into their lovers spot." She turned her head away in frustration, looking at the wall, *MeiMei loves Wuwu* inside a heart scratched in it.
There must be a reason for her frustration, or maybe it's actually annoying.
Well it's obvious to find things like that in crowdy and busy place like railway station. Not to mention government can't even relate to this mess. And I don't really wanna talk about government now.
It's going to be half more hours, means she's waiting here for past two hours, even more.
"Oh Lord! Just check the time! Two and half hours! I don't know the degree of my boiling rage with each passing minute,but I am pretty sure to give a thick pinch on her cheeks!! Never gonna leave her most annoying habit of being late at the crucial time."
She whispered while looking at her phone, reading a text by Song Lin,
*arriving in minutes*
"So she meant 150 minutes in total....wow! I'm not even surprised at this point."
Although Xiao Jane was annoyed by her besties slacking, for making her wait hours...., but in reality, she had missed her all along.The moment she will appear, it would be better than anything happening in her world. This is the reason now she have to bear her messy behaviour and tantrums. And that's why they're best friends, right?
But anyway this kind of friendship is really rare to find!
Xiao Jane was unable to notice her surroundings..... her thoughts went towards how she's going to punish Lin Lin for her little white lies about her arrival. She wondered if she's born to make her wait in stations like that. Considering it's the 3rd time already.
"Cut me some slack little Lin, or I'll be really mad!!" She pouted.
At last, after around 15 minutes,there stopped a train on track of the platform and passengers rushed in and out of it, creating chaos as if a disaster is coming soon on them.
A curved, beautifully shaped figure stepped out of the train. Trolly bag in one hand and checking the wrist watch in another, wearing a pretty skin fit peach coloured shirt, revealing her delicate features exactly as that of the plushy essential of the peaches and that frisky black jack jeans ending up at the shirt pairing heels.
She was classic, even other passengers couldn't help but glance twice at her to take a quick look at her appearance.
She was looking around and in her mind she said....'Jane Jane, please forgive me one more time! I promise I will treat you to the best restaurant and will pay for my fault. But this one time. I know you can't help it out when it's me in front of you, hugging you tightly in my embrace after so long!"
Muddled in her own thoughts Song Lin swept her eyes across the whole platform when finally her almond curved black eyes landed on the sitting figure of a lady, inside a resting room, beautifully resting her one hand on her chin.
The sky blue coloured casual gown does suits her white zade skin.
She seemed to be lost in thoughts,unaware of her own surrounding. Song Lin sweared to God, that the pretty highschooler has actually bloomed into a true goddess. And even more in the past two years.'The goddess of beauty!!! My Ah Jane!!!'
Song Lin thought it would be best to surprise her and hug her from behind.She tiptoed her movements, carefully longing her trolly bag aside and jumped on Xiao Jane pulling her up in her grasp.
She exclaimed "Jane Jane! How long it's since I last gave you a hug, are you eating well? Oh dear beauty, you look too skinny! Aww I missed you girl!!! Do you missed me toooo?"
Jane gained her consciousness as she guessed that Lin Lin must have tried this trick to change the *late arrival topic*
She can't bicker with someone who's hugging her, especially when it's Lin Lin...., she feel somehow safe when someone hugs her, still Xiao Jane was not kind enough to get tricked by the little devil and fall for her cuteness.
Xiao Jane said trying to control her smile, "Why are you late again? it's past 4 already Dumbo! Even after knowing the fact that it's the most special day for us, how can you be so careless?" Jane enunciated each word with a little anger contained chill in her voice, maintaining a poker face.
"But it's not my fault Jane Jane! You know I....." she tried to explain but her mouth got sealed.
'Not her fault? As expected!'
"I stopped at a cafe but they didn't have my favourite drink...." She looked at Xiao Jane whose expression were saying 'unbelievable.....'!
In her head Jane knew that she was right somehow, but what's the point..... What can she do about her! It's her Lin Lin after all.
The sun was setting deeper into the horizon and cold breeze of early June was giving chills.
