Chapter 89 - Bombs away

"Okay captain, you need to get at least thirteen feet away from here, then we'll start the detonating system," I told him from my headset.

"El, your safe now, if Hyperion come for you we have a whole team that will protect you."

"Thank you. What's your name?"

"Sabina."

I smiled and then I started to walk up the stairs to the main room where Dez was, El followed behind me.

"Dez, is it time?" I asked.

"I believe it is, captain make it so we can view the action."

"Will do General, let me tell everyone to get to the window room." He picked up his microphone and did exactly what he said.

"Sabina?" El asked.

"Yeah?"

"Will we be safe now?"

"Yes El, at least from the Brotherhood, once the Brotherhood is gone then the world will be safe."

"What about Pandora?" She asked.

"Why would you want to go back there? Hyperion will have your head if you go back there but you can stay with the Railroad for now if you want."

"Okay."

"You ready to blow this place to pieces?" Dez interrupted.

"Yeah, let's do this," I answered.

"Bring your little friend with too. Hay if she wants maybe she could join the Railroad." Dez suggested.

"Who is this, 'Railroad?'"

"The majority of the faces you look at on this ship is the Railroad, we protect people, and by destroying the Brotherhood and you killing Jack were protecting them in ways we never thought possible."

"Are you protecting me?"

"Of course El, we're not gonna let those people get you,"

She gave me a little smile but again Dez had to interrupt.

"Come on, I'm not waiting for five years, what if the Brotherhood figures out how to get the bomb off?"

"Were coming Dez just calm the hell down."

"Sabina, where are we going?"

"The window room, you can probably guess what that is."

"Yes."

I looked at El and smiled but she just was staring at Dez very confused.

"Who's that?"

"Oh that's Dez, she's the boss for the Railroad."

"Yep that's me, look kid if you need anything just come to me, I'm here to help."

She didn't say anything back instead just looked at Dez, she had a tiny almost like it wasn't smile on her face, but it wasn't one of those smiles that scared you, not like the ones in the movies. No, instead this smile was small, but calming, it seemed to have a lot of meaning behind it, like she was happy to have people care about her. We walked a little farther then finally saw the sign that said "Window room" on it. As we went in we saw that the place was packed with Railroad members. Then the guy on the microphone started to talk.

"Okay everyone, make room so the following people can get to the viewing stage!"

Leader Desdemona

Commander Sabina

Cassandra Cage

Jacqui Briggs

Tina

Lintenit Shawn

The Firehawk

Skyler

Nick

Nat

Mordecai

"W-what do I do?" She asked. "They're just being nice, they're just gonna make us a path so we can view the Brotherhood blowing to pieces better." exclaimed. She still looked a little nervous but not as much as before.

"Come on people, let's blow this thing!" Mordecai shouted. I looked at El and motioned for her to follow. There was a straight path leading right to the stage, thanks to all the nice people of the Railroad, Vault 76, and Starvault members so we started walking in it. Dez went first, of course, and I made sure El was right behind or next to me. We got closer to the stage and went up the stairs to it. We were about fifty feet in the air and circling the Prydwen and the Brotherhood camp. As we got up there, Dez handed me the detonating remote.

"I thought you'd be doing the honors boss."

"Well kid, with all that you've been through and all that you've risked I figured it the least I could do."

"Thank Dez, I'm honored."

She smiled at me and I smiled back. I turned back to El, who was looking happy and nervous about the remote.

"Its okay El, the blast can't kill us, we're too far away."
