Quinn let down the ladder on the Twilight and we climbed it up while BT got picked up by the crane in the back. We met BT back in the main room. Dez wasn't lying, the place was huge. There were people everywhere. The main room was bigger than the Statue of Liberty and a two bedroom apartment together.
""Hallo Dez, wer ist das Kind bei dir? A lady asked.
"Das ist Sabina, sie ist die Kommandantin der Eisenbahn. " Dez told her. She bowed down to me and said:
"Ich bin zu Ihren Diensten Frau."
We walked further into the main room and I asked Dez who that was.
"That was Hannah, she is one of our new Captains here, she moved here a few years ago from Germany."
"Oh well, she seems like a nice lady."
"Yeah, she's got a kid here too. I bet you guys would get along nice."
"What's her name?" I asked.
"Her name's Emma, she knows more English than her mom, and just a hint of advice, don't mention her dad.
"Okay, figure her dad died huh."
"No, he just wasn't the nicest to her family."
"That's sad but speaking of dads, where's mine?"
"Should be in the Emergency Institution of Health, it's over by Bioscience."
Bioscience was all the way over by the main control room so it was pretty far away from us. Shortly after passing the Bioscience room I saw a large, brown colored door that said EIH.
"There it is kid, your dad will be in that room, I'll see you later, going down to the main control room, see you when you're ready to blow up this Brotherhood of Steel."
"Thanks Dez, it might be a while, but I'll definitely be there."
Dez waved goodbye and turned the corner to the control room. I walked over to the doors, the size of a large camel and opened them slowly. Surprisingly they weren't heavy, just bulky.
"Quinn!" I shouted. She was in the room with my father standing right next to him.
"Sabina, you made it back." She said as she gave me a hug.
"How's he doing?" I asked. Her smile faded fast and she looked like she didn't have good news. We walked back over to my dad and he looked at me.
"Sabina, is that you?" He whispered.
"Yeah Dad, I'm here for you now, you're gonna be fine. Doctor, Quinn, ummmm."
I started to cry.
"Sabina, I'm not gonna make it, but I want you to know I love you, I'm joining you mother soon, and that is what I really want."
"Dad, I miss Mom too but I don't want to miss you."
"You won't miss me if you know this is what I wanted."
"Commander, his heart's failing," The doctor informed.
"Come here sunshine."
I knelt down by his bed and he whispered his last words in my ear:
"I love you always and forever."
A few seconds later Shawn walked into the room, but he was too late. Everyone in the room was now crying and I was still hugging my dad. I felt his body stiffen and knew that he was no longer with us as the heart monitor started ringing the loud noise that everyone feared.
"Dad? Dad, Daaaad!" I yelled. Shawn came down to where I was and pulled my hand up so I would stand up.
"He's gone now Sabina, I'm sorry." Shawn whispered. I looked at Shawn and saw that he was crying too. Shortly later Hannah came into the room. She tried speaking her best English as I hugged my brother.
"They ready madam."
"Thank you, Hannah I'll be there in a minute," I said, my face still buried into the comfort of my brother.
They took my father over to another room as Shawn and Quinn tried to calm me down.
"Hay, Sabina, you ready to get revenge?" Quinn asked.
I didn't have much energy or was in a good mind set at the time, but I continued to speak to Quinn.
"We're really gonna bring the Brotherhood of Steel down?"
"Yeah when the Railroad says something, it's gonna happen."
"What about the rads and the people of Starvault?"
"I'm staying behind to do that but my job for you guys is to send supplies down."
"It's not gonna be the same without you on the battlefield."
"Ha, don't worry, here take this." She handed me a computer chip. "Connect it to your Pip-Boy. It's a thing that allows us to have our own line so if you need anything just push that button."
I connected it to the center of my Pip-Boy and we headed to the main control room.
