ASTHERIELLE
"Oof!" colliding against my back, I almost lost my balance. With Nico keeping me steady, I stared at the guy standing by the street, his face indescribable.
Somehow he looked familiar. But I knew too many people and have no idea where I might have met him or even if I did really meet him.
I did hope that I had.
"What's the hold-up?" My cousin sounded irritated.
I ignored him, my attention fully captured.
For some reason, I think the strange guy was going to have himself killed. He was oblivious to the busy street and the fast vehicles zooming past on both lanes.
I squinted, trying to take a good look at him.
"When I say run, we run, okay?"
"Wait, wha--" before Nico could protest, I started running, my eyes never wavering on the guy who was now about to cross the street absentmindedly.
