MARGAUX
I watched the punching bag fly away and come back to me, hitting it successively, while my knuckles started to hurt underneath the gloves.
"You got some steam girl," Astherielle remarked.
I didn't mean for her to be a replacement for Mary. However, it just happened without me noticing that she and I became regulars at Olie's like Mary and I used to be.
The girls adjusted to her too just as quickly as Olie had.
"Have you checked on Kevin?" I eyed Astherielle. She took a deep breath and sighed.
"I just hope his father makes it through this. Kevin has already lost his mother. I don't think he would be able to hold himself together if anything happens to his dad."
"I hope so too."
"Well," Astherielle perked up, grinning widely as she looked at me. "At least he has us for comfort. We're his awesome friends whom he shouldn't take for granted."
I can't help but laugh.
"We're definitely awesome, no doubt."
