PAUL
"Daddy!" a little girl of five years old came running towards me.
Her curly hair was neatly pulled in two pigtails which was accompanied by two tiny ribbons in pink. It perfectly matched the pink dress she was wearing.
I gently placed the shopping bags down on the floor and braced myself to accept her with open arms upon closing the door behind me.
She smiled excitedly as she jumped in my arms.
I carried her with me as I entered further inside the apartment she and her mother were staying in.
It was small but Elise, her mother, had claimed that she did not need a big place when it was just the two of them.
Ellaine, my daughter, touched her nose to mine.
"I missed you!" she exclaimed.
"You missed daddy so much?" I watch her nod her head.
"Daddy has been very busy lately. Have you been good to your mommy?"
"I have been very good daddy. I never made mommy cry, not even once. She has not shouted at me either."
