The look in Margaux eyes had haunted me. I know what she must be feeling right now. I was feeling the same thing too and it was breaking me apart.
Aside from the fear that was beginning to gnaw inside of me as we came close towards the mansion where I knew Takahashi was waiting for me, my heart felt heavy.

I repeated inside my head, silently hoping that it would somehow get to her.
When the car had finally come to a stop, my heart dropped to the ground.
I clenched my hands into fists, needing to hide the fact that they were trembling. My fear had escalated.
This wasn't how I envisioned meeting Takahashi once again. This wasn't how it was supposed to happen either.
But I did not regret the choice I had made.
